No, Cyper TC cannot be mixed with with malathion. It is never a good idea to try to mix insecticides unless the label instructions clearly state that you can do so. Mixing insecticides can cause them to not work properly.
Cyper TC is labeled for a variety of roaches. This should not be the only item being used when treating for a roach infestation. It is also recommended that you use a bait gel, such as Maxforce Magnum, in combintation with an insect growth regulator, IGR, such as Gentrol IGR.
Please check out our Roach Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent roaches.
We apologize for any confusion. To make a 1.0% solution, you would dilute 5.1 fl. oz. of Cyper TC per gallon of water for perimeter treatment. There is a dilution chart of page 5 of the product label. Keep in mind that this higher rate may be applied only twice per year.
Cyper TC is not designed to be used in a fogger at all, only sprayers or large mist blowers like a Solo 451. Using Cyper TC or any other insecticide not designed for a fogger could clog your equipment or lower the efficacy of the product, as the ingredients are not designed for this type of application. You may want to take a look at some of our Fogging Concentrates to see which best fits your needs and type of fogger.
Cyper TC should be mixed at 5.1 oz to 122 oz of water (1 gallon of finished solution) for a 0.1% emulsion.
Cyper TC should be mixed at 5.1 oz to 122 oz of water (1 gallon of finished solution) and 2 gallons to 48 gallons of water (50 gallon of finished solution) for a 0.1% emulsion. Please refer to the product label for the mixing chart and details on mixing for the area and insect that you are targeting/treating.
The mixing rate of Cyper TC for scorpions is 0.65 fl oz per gallon of water. This can be done every 30 days around the perimeter of your home and areas where scorpions are.
Stryker Wasp and Hornet Killer will kill wasps on contact up to 20 ft. away. For cicada killer wasps, it is commonly recommended to use Delta Dust in each individual burrow. Cicada Killer wasps thrive in disturbed environments, such as landscaped yards and places where bare soil is exposed. You can discourage the wasps from nesting in your yard by cutting your grass on the highest setting and by adding a thick layer of mulch to flower beds during the Cicada Killer Wasp season. These wasps do not like over-saturated lawns either, so overwatering during their season will help prevent them. Unfortunately, there is no foolproof way to prevent cicada killer wasps.
Cyper TC is not labeled to treat for red palm weevils. There is not a lot of specific research that has been done on this particular pest, but through product and manufacturer training we have heard that a product containing the active ingredient Imidacloprid such as Adonis 2F would possibly work when using it as a systemic drench around the base of the trees. However, since it is not labeled for this specific pest we can not guarantee the results.
Cyper TC is not labeled to control armyworms. Talstar P Liquid Concentrate or Talstar XTRA Granules are most commonly used for treating armyworms. Talstar P Liquid will provide a 30 day residual in the lawn, Talstar XTRA Granules will last 60-90 days in the lawn once watered in.
Please read our Armyworm Treatment Guide for more information and recommendations
Cyper TC is not labeled for use on edibles such as fruit, vegetables, herbs, citrus, etc therefore should not be applied to corn or any other vegetable crop.
You could consider Malathion 57% as an alternative, which is labeled to target certain types of weevils, and can safely be applied to corn, and other listed crops, if used as directed.
No, Cyper TC is not labeled for white grubs.
There are a couple options for white grubs depending on if they are actively feeding or doing a preventative treatment before grub eggs hatch. We recommend using Dylox 6.2 for actively feeding grubs and Merit Granules for preventation of grubs in mid June to late July. Dylox 6.2 is known to be one of the fastest-acting granule products for grub control.
Please view our White Grub Treatment Guide for more information on a successful treatment.
Cyper TC is not labeled for white grubs.
For actively feeding grubs, Dylox 6.2 Granules would be the best choice for immediate control. For preventative treatments prior to grub egg hatch (mid June to late July) Merit 0.5 Granules are the top choice for prevention.
Please view our Grub Treatment Guide for more information.
Cyper TC would last in the soil for 5-7 years. Retreatment for subterranean termites can only be performed if there is clear evidence of re-infestation or disruption of the barrier due to construction, excavation, or landscaping and/or evidence of the breakdown of the termiticide barrier in the soil. For termite prevention you would not just spray the foundation of the home. It would need to be applied in a trench around the home to create a barrier for termites to go through. Cyper TC also only kills the termites that contact a treated area. A better product would be to use a nonrepellent like Termidor SC which will transfer back to the colony when the workers go through the soil and back down to the colony. We have a step by step guide that will walk you through how to do your own termite trenching treatment. You can see the guide by clicking on the link here.
Cyper TC is not labeled to target spittlebugs. However, Talstar P does include spittlebugs on the product label as a target insect, and can be applied to your lawn and landscaped areas.
For dense thatch layers, more water volume may be required to get the active ingredient through the thatch and to the soil. Otherwise it would be recommended to detatch the lawn prior to the application. View our video on How to Detatch Your Lawn for more information.
Cyper TC only kills insects that contact a treated area and is slightly repellent so insects may avoid treated areas. Taurus is a non repellent that is undectable and has a delayed reaction which allows insects such as ants and termites, to carry it back for you and pass it around and eliminate the entire colony.
According the the product label for Cyper TC, to control wood infesting insects such as powderpost beetles in homes and other structures, apply as an emulsion containing 0.25%. Please refer to the product label, starting on page 13, for complete application instructions for powderpost beetle treatments, and use as directed.
We also recommend reading over our Wood-Boring Beetle Inspection Guide for more information on controlling this pest.
As long as it is not freezing or going to within 24 hours, you can use Cyper TC at any time. Please view the product label for more information.
