    Q
Can Cyzmic CS be mixed with Cyper WP?
Target = german roaches Started applying Cyper WP and Gentrol IGR concentrate in a garage with german roaches. This has been highly effective and got rid of most of the roaches, but I can't seem to get rid of them 100%. I was thinking of adding a "booster" of sorts to the Cyper wp/Gentrol mixture hoping to finish them off for good. Would Cyzmic be a good choice for this, or is there another product/approach that would be a better choice?
    A
You should not mix the Cyzmic into the Cyper WP or the roaches will not walk over the treated areas. For a booster to the Cyper WP you should use Martins Syner Pro. Martins SynerPro PBO is added to tank mixes as a synergist that aids in preventing the target insect's regular metabolic function from breaking down the insecticide molecules. By preventing the insect from removing the toxins from its system Martins SynerPro PBO increases the effectiveness of the insecticide.

  • Asked by Marcus from Strong, Ar

    Q
Will Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide kill honey bees in a wall?
    A

Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide will kill bees that land in the area. A better option would be to use a dust in the wall voids, such as Tempo Dust. This will provide control for up to 7 months if the dust is undisturbed. Be sure to only use a light coating of dust so that the bees will not avoid the area. 1-2 puffs out of the bottle is sufficient.

We do recommend consulting with a professional if you believe you have a honey bee hive in your wall since you must remove all materials, honey, etc. completely to avoid any reinfestation or secondary problems like hive beetles and mold.

  • Asked by Kirk from Charlottesville, Va

    Q
What can I add to Cyzmic CS for a knockdown when treating for Carpenter Bees?
    A

There is not a knockdown insecticide by itself labeled for Carpenter Bees. There is Tempo Dust which is a fast killing dust that can be used to puff inside the boring holes made by Carpenter bees. You could also use a combination insectide that already has the knockdown power but also the residual that you need to treat Carpenter Bees. That product is Temprid FX. Please review our Carpenter Bee Treatment Page for recommendations.

    Q
Can Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide be added to tuna and placed in an area that animals can't reach?
Encapsulated diazinon used to be mixed with tuna and once eaten or touch would be taken back to the hive which would kill the whole hive. Can this be used the same way? If not what is the best way to use it?

Cyzmic CS is labeled to be mixed with water and sprayed with a pump sprayer. It should not be mixed with food. The amount of solution that you will use per gallon of water depends on the type of pest you are killing. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
Should I clean up dust before I spray Cyzmic CS?
I have boric acid down all around base boards, cracks and crevices. And IGR before I spray?
    A

You do want to apply Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide to a clean surface and remove any dust or debri before application so that the spray contacts the surface for better application and continous barrier.  Dusts are best used applied to cracks and crevices and under baseboards where it will not be disturbed.
