    Q
When you say Firebrats, do you mean Fire ants?
I have an infestation of palmetto bugs as well as a 60 foot radius in my backyard that is a fire ant mound that I need to get rid of ASAP, will this work for that?
    A

Firebrats are similar to silverfish, not fire ants. Cyzmic CS is a great option for use in your lawn for palmetto bugs and fire ants. The mixing rate is 0.4 fl oz per gallon of water. This can be broadcast across your lawn and applied every 21 days as needed. The residual outdoors is 30 days and 90 days indoors.

Yes, it is a good idea to rotate insecticides in order to prevent resistance from building. Cyzmic CS would be a great choice to use in rotation with Onslaught FastCap

    Q
Will Cyzmic CS stain my walls or paint?
I want to know if this spray will leave any kind of stain, drips, water marks, shadows, etc on my walls. Thank you.
    A

Cyzmic CS should not stain or leave any visible residue if mixed and applied according to the instructions on the product label.  Having said that, we always recommend that you test any product you choose on a small inconspicuous area to be sure staining will not occur. Sometimes old paint can be an issue when using any product.

    Q
Is Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide your best product to kill scorpions?
    A

Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide is a great product that we have to treat for scorpions. The mixing ratio for Cyzmic CS is 0.2 - 0.8 oz. per gallon of water. This is 6-24 mL. Q
What perimeter spray should I use for Brunswick, GA?
Moving to a home is on Georgia Coast - Not fully developed subdivision. We are surrounded by undeveloped lots, essentially marsh property. Looking to control mosquitoes as well as normal bug control. No kids or dogs to worry about. Our current home (5 miles away, similar propery) has quarterly perimeter spraying done commercially. New home is smaller and I want to do it myself.
    A

A great product to use for general pest prevention and maintenance in areas which are not on the water would be Cyzmic CS. This product can be used for mosquitoes as well as common crawling pests. It is encapsulated for a longer residual in sunlight and heat, too. If you are needing to treat close to water such as marsh, ponds, etc., then I would recommend Essentria IC3 which is safe to use around aquatic areas. We have more great tips in our Mosquito Treatment Guide here.

    Q
Is it safe to use Cyzmic CS on log house? Will it cause any discolouration? Also, What is the best mixture for spiders indoor and outdoor?
    A

Cyzmic CS should not stain or leave any visible residue or discoloration if mixed and applied according to the instructions on the product label.  Having said that, we always recommend that you test any product you choose on a small inconspicuous area to be sure staining will not occur. For indoor treatments, you can use Cyzmic CS at the rate of 0.4 ounces per gallon of water. For outdoor use where the product will be in contact with UV rays and rain we recommend using the highest allowed usage rate which is 0.8 fl. oz. per gallon of water (0.06% active ingredient) as it will have the fastest knockdown and last the longest.

  • Asked by Julie from Middletown, Mo
    12/03/2018
    Q
What is the most effective spider killer? Tempo isn't working.
    A

Cyzmic CS Controlled Release Insecticide is a great option fpr spiders.  Keep in mind that neither Tempo nor Cyzmic will keep spiders away.  They are designed to provide a long residual which continues to kill insects that contact a treated area, and this can take time.  Spiders themselves are difficult to kill as well with their long legs that keep their bodies off the ground.  While they will die after contacting a treated area long enough to receive a lethal dose, these products help to eliminate their food source more so that the spiders will go looking for better hunting grounds.  You may want to look over our Spider Control Guide for more information.

  • Asked by Dan from Nashville, Tn

    Q
Which product is better for a Bed Bug infestation?
    Cyzmic or Temprid or Transport?
    A

Transport and Cyzmic are definitely great products and two of the many choices out there for bedbug control concentrates. The main one we recommend is Temprid FX. It has dual ingredients like the Transport Mikron for increased control. The biggest thing to remember is that using just one residual product like Transport, Cyzmic or Temprid is not enough to get rid of the bedbugs since they cant be sprayed in all the areas and surfaces where bedbugs hide that need to be treated.

If bedbugs have been found in the home you will want to follow our detailed bedbug guide which will take you through each step necessary to completely eliminate the population. As you go through the guide linked below you will see the non-chemical steps (such as washing and drying clothes and linens) as well as chemical steps including where and how to use each product. Our Bed Bug kits are the best route to make sure you are using the best products on the market and without breaking the bank. Each kit is designed to treat a different size home or number of rooms, so you can choose the one best suited to the areas you have affected by the pest problem. The kits come with all the products needed to do a complete treatment in all the places bed bugs can hide and enough product to complete roughly 4 repeat applications. Since every home and infestation is different you will want to do diligent and meticulous treatments with the products every 7-14 days until you can go 30 days in a row with no signs of live bed bugs and no new bites on the occupants of the home.
