Demand G Granules is not a systemic product. It is labeled to treat spider mites and mites in general for turf, but it would not treat these pests on the trees, shrubs, etc. since it must be watered in to be activated. Unfortunately, there are no systemic products that will treat for spider mites: you must do a topical treatment for this pest. Our most popular product to treat spider mites on trees and other ornamentals is Talstar P. If you have an aggressive or well-established population, and you need multiple treatments, then you will want to rotate with another type of product such as Avid Miticide.
Demand G granules will last approximately 2-3 months in the soil. It does need to be watered in after it has been applied as well.
Yes the Demand G Granules are safe for pets and kids once the product has been watered in and had time to dry.
Demand G Granules is effective for Roaches. Apply at 2lbs per 1000sq feet.
Demand G, which contains Lambda Cyhalothrin, focuses more on structural pests like ants, millipedes, earwigs, etc. with a little control on your turf damaging pests like grubs, billbugs, mole crickets. Whereas Merit Granules contains Imidacloprid and focuses primarily on insects that feed directly on your lawn and would be doing the most damage to the plants and turf in the yard like grubs, chinch bugs, mole crickets, etc.
Demand G Granules is not specifically labeled for chiggers. We do carry DeltaGard Granules that can be used to target this pest. You should keep the dogs out of the area during the application. It is not recommended for areas where there are grazing animals.
Yes, you can apply Demand G Granules before laying down sod. This will treat the ground in the area or up to three months. However, be aware that it would not treat the actual so should there be any chich bugs in that when it is put in. You would need to make another application to the sod if this were the case.
Yes, Demand G Granules can be used in your crawl space for insects. This product does need to be watered in to activate it.
Granules such as Demand G Granules generally are not labeled to control spiders such as wolf spiders, so we would not recommend this as a direct treatment for spiders. Granules are applied to the lawn and landscape areas and then watered in, so most of the active ingredient is down in near or in the thatch and soil where spiders won't really contact it. This can certainly help to control some of the insects that the spiders may be hunting, however it is not likely to affect spiders that have already made their homes on or in the structure. We would suggest a liquid concentrate for use around the perimeter of the structure and in areas where spiders are likely to gather, such as Suspend Polyzone. Polyzone has a unique polymer formulation that protects the active ingredient from weathering and keeps it accessible to target pests on porous surfaces.
