It can be mixed with either Demon WP or Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide. ExciteR will provide a quicker knockdown when mixed with an insecticide. If used alone, the residual is not as long.

Demon WP is labeled for spiders, however with using the same product for a long period of time insects can become resistent to that active ingredient. Unfortunately, Demon WP is not labeled for bark beetles. We would recommend a product like Tengard SFR One-Shot Termiticide. Per the product label to prevent an infestation to trees and woody ornamentals, you would thoroughly spray the bark but not to the point of runoff.

We would recommend Demon WP for your problem.  Demon WP is a powder you mix with water and apply using a one gallon hand pump sprayer.  Demon WP is excellent for the cracks and holes in the basement and around the apartment because powder sticks to porous surfaces.  It is labeled for inside and outside use, and it is very safe for pets.  Once you have applied the product and allowed it time to dry, usually 30-45 minutes, it is perfectly safe for your pet to re-enter the room or to go outside.  It is also labeled for just about any pest you would have a problem with.  The 1lb container will last for years and will make enough solution to treat every 3 months for years to come. 

Demon WP is a great product for Lady bugs. Unfortunately, if you are dealing with them in your house right now you will only see limited results. Lady bugs move into structures to overwinter. They usually squeeze into wall voids, false ceilings, attics and other areas that are inaccessible to people and insecticides. As the heat kicks on in the house, the lady bugs warm up and start becoming active and emerge from hiding, driving homeowners nuts. Because most folks usually have no idea where the bugs are harboring you can only treat around baseboards, door frames and window frames and hope the insects will emerge where you have sprayed. After they contact the treated areas, it can take several hours for them to die. It is still worth spraying now to get rid of some of the bugs, but you will keep seeing them until spring when they will emerge en masse and leave your home. They do not eat, mate or lay eggs while indoors so need to worry about any damage or future baby lady bugs. This year you can be proactive by stopping these pests before they move in for the winter . You should spray Demon WP outdoors around your door frames, window frames, vents, eaves, around the bottom of your foundation, and any other crack or crevice where an insect could gain entry once a month August-November. You can use Demon WP in a backpack sprayer for mosquito control. Demon WP is not labeled for use in a mist blower. If you would like to use a product in a mist blower for mosquito control you can use Talstar P. According to the Demon WP product label: for mosquito control, apply as a general structural perimeter spray to landscape plantings, turf, and building foundations to control mosquitoes. Yards or other frequented areas enclosed by landscaping can benefit from the creation of a mosquito barrier to reduce invading mosquitoes by the treatment of perimeter vegetation. For best results, apply Demon WP at recommended rates in 2-5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Higher volumes applied result in better coverage and, as a rule, will improve control. Demon WP can reapplied every 4 weeks outdoors.

Demon WP lasts for about 4-6 weeks outdoors and about 12 weeks indoors.You can Demon Wp over the lawn and also use it as a barrier spray for your home to eliminate scorpions before they try to move indoors. Non-insecticide methods for scorpion control are:

Harborage Removal- Harborage removal is key to scorpion control and will greatly reduce the numbers of scorpions in the area surrounding the structure, making it far less likely that they will enter. Harborage removal includes eliminating piles of lumber, bricks, and other stacked items that create clusters of tight spaces, elimination of vegetation and other heavy ground coverings near homes and buildings, trimming back tree and shrub limbs from walls and roof, and keeping gutters clear of leaves and other debris.

Exclusion- Scorpions and other pests can be kept out of structures to a large degree by installing tight-fitting screens, weatherstripping around doors and windows, and caulking cracks and crevices.

These products should not be mixed together. There is no valid reason to mix Demon WP/Cyper WP and Talstar P/Bifen IT together.

We apologize you are having an issue with the Demon WP. We have never had anyone complain that it came out as a muddy color. The powder is usually a darker off white color and when mixed with water the solution is usually an off white creamy color. With many products the colors can vary a bit depending on the source of the raw materials and that may be the case with this product as well. We recommend contacting the manufacturer directly so that they can troubleshoot with you and see what may have happened. The 11/2012 is the date the product was released for sale, not the expiration date.

It is perfectly normal to keep seeing fleas for several weeks after the initial treatment. This is because of the natural life cycle of the flea and you are now seeing newly hatched fleas. Most folks find they have to do between 2-4 treatments to get rid of the fleas for good. We do not recommend using Demon WP indoors for flea control as it is not labeled for broadcast sprays indoors.
