Expert response:
The D-Force HPX is a residual insecticide, meaning it keeps working for several weeks after you spray it. The trade-off for residual insecticides is that they do not have the same initial quick kill that other products may have. Over-the-counter products such as Raid are intended as a contact kill only, to quickly knock down insects that you spray directly with the product, but once the application is dry, then the product is done working. We recommend waiting at least a week before reapplying the D-Force since it will have a residual after it dries. If you are having trouble with the can's functioning, be sure that the crack and crevice straw is secure in the nozzle; you may want to use some needle-nosed pliers to secure the straw tightly. Of course, if the product seems defective, then we would like to address that issue. We are also happy to discuss your situation over the phone at 866-581-7378 M-F 9a-5p EST, via live chat on our website, or via email.

We bought this thinking it would help with Springtail bugs and it did not. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR SPRINGTAILS.

I bought it for bees and have used almost the entire can - spraying on multiple days and different times of the day, including after dark. The hive has gotten even bigger.
