dont get this for carpenter bees
By Just on 04/23/2015
it will kill wasps ever so slowly unlike a 4$ can of raid that drops them in a split second but i got this for carpenter bees something it specifically states it kills i tried spraying directly and spraying a healthy amount in their holes at night still no dead carpenter bees and i have sprayed the holes more than once it just does not kill them ohh and the can leaks all over my hand when i spray it so thats not fun either
Expert response:
The D-Force HPX is a residual insecticide, meaning it keeps working for several weeks after you spray it. The trade-off for residual insecticides is that they do not have the same initial quick kill that other products may have. Over-the-counter products such as Raid are intended as a contact kill only, to quickly knock down insects that you spray directly with the product, but once the application is dry, then the product is done working.
We recommend waiting at least a week before reapplying the D-Force since it will have a residual after it dries.
If you are having trouble with the can's functioning, be sure that the crack and crevice straw is secure in the nozzle; you may want to use some needle-nosed pliers to secure the straw tightly. Of course, if the product seems defective, then we would like to address that issue.

Doesn't Work for Boll Weavels
By Daniel on 05/01/2020
Despite the claim to be effective against Boll Weavels, this product certainly is not. These pests continue to use the cracks and crevices that I had sprayed. I think the Chemist's mistakenly assumed this product was effective against entire groups of similar insects without adequately testing against each and every one of them. If Boll Weavels is your infestation, don't bother purchasing this. It doesn't work as claimed.
