You want to make sure that you keep the soil moist for up to 7 days after applicaiton to ensure the Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate will be more quickly soaked into the root system.
Dominion 2L can only be sprayed in attics if you are spot treating termites that happen to be there. It is also labeled for carpenter ants. Please see the product label for specific mixing rates and application instructions.
Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate is not labeled for Crane Flies. We would recommend Talstar P to spray the perimeter of the home, bushes, trees, shrubs, etc for control of Crane Flies. Talstar P should be used early to mid season to control the larvae of crane flies. This application should be made between August-February during times when the ground is not frozen. If treatments are made in March-April, they may only provide supression. You can consult with your local cooperative extension office for details on timing of application in your area specifically.
Dominion 2L would not work for elm bark beetles as it would not reach to the areas of the trees these beetles infest. Effective treatment involves killing the beetles before they bore into bark in fall and when they first emerge in spring so protecting healthy trees is best. Timing is critical to reach the pests before they're under the protective bark. You can use a product like Permethrin SFR for this. There are also articles linked below that can help

Dominion 2L is labelled to treat for Thrips on trees and the application rate is 0.1 to 0.4 fl. oz. (3 to 12 mL) per inch of trunk diameter (D.B.H.)
For treating Sea Grape Borers, unfortunately, there have not been any studies in recent years to show that any insecticide is effective on them. The best recommendation for control is pruning and destroying twigs infested with the borers as a method of reducing populations.
Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate has a shelf life up to 5 years from the date of purchase (if stored away from extreme temperatures). Once mixed with water, the solution should be used within 24 hrs. If you suspect the product is no longer good (color change, etc), please replace or contact the manufacturer for further details.
To do a termite treatment with Dominion 2L, it is recommended to trench the soil (6”X6” trench against foundation) to apply. This will provide a 7 year barrier. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article and videos on How to Perform a Termite Treatment.
Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate cannot be mixed into paints or stains. Dominion 2L can only be mixed with water and is used for soil treatments.
You should measure the height of the shrub (the length is not calculated). The mix rate is 0.1 fl oz to 0.2 fl oz of Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate per foot of shrub height as a drench around the base of the shrubs/bushes in no less than 10 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet. Direct application to the root area is best.
The Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate label states the following: Localized treatment for carpenter bees: Apply a 0.05% to 0.1% solution as a spray or mist, or sufficient volume of foam, directly into gallery entrance holes. Following treatment, entrance holes may be plugged with small pieces of steel wool or similar material.
A more effective treatment for carpenter bees would be our Carpenter Bee Control Kit.
Dominion 2L is not labeled for a perimeter spray for roaches or other insects except ants and then the listed termite treatments. You can use a gamma-cyhalothrin spray for perimeter roach control, or you could use a combination product such as Temprid FX. Temprid has beta-cyfluthrin and imidacloprid already formulated together, and this is an excellent perimeter spray.
If you cannot trench with Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate in an area you would just have to leave that area open as a possible entry or you can use stations in the area as part of prevention. Applying Dominion as you would a soil drench to a plant would not have the same effect as it would in an actual 6 x 6 trench. It lasts 5-7 years in the soil so would not be applied once a year for termite prevention.
Per Dominion 2L's product label, applications cannot exceed a total of 1.6 pints (0.4 lb of active ingredient) per acre per year.
Per the label, Dominion 2L Termiticide can not be used to treat Pharaoh ants. We do carry several ant baits that are labeled for Pharaoh ants. We recommend you offer both a gel bait such as Advion as well as a granule bait such as Advance 375A. Offering both baits will ensure the ants have their nutritional needs met and at least one of the baits will be accepted.
You should not mix 2 residual insecticides like Dominion 2L Termiticide and Cyper TC. It is never a good idea to try to mix insecticides unless the label instructions clearly state that you can do so. Mixing insecticides can cause them to not work properly.
No, we would not recommend to mix your insecticides like Dominion 2L Termiticide and herbicides like SpeedZone Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate together. You will need to apply the products separately and if using the same sprayer be sure to triple rinse or use a tank cleaner between products.
is not labeled to control yellow jackets or their nests. Instead we would recommend a product like Wasp Freeze if you can see the entire nest to spray it at once, or a product like Delta Dust if you can only treat the entry/exit points you see the insects coming and going from in the ground, behind siding, or around a homes foundation/decking.
A 27.5 oz bottle of Dominion 2L Termiticide will make 50 gallons of finished solution which will treat 120 lineal feet when using for termite prevention in a trench.
