Drione Dust is labeled to treat for ticks. Yes, you would want to use the Bifen IT indoors around the baseboards and cracks and crevices, and then apply the dust. Delta Dust is also labeled for ticks, and is waterproof as well, so if you are using both that might be a better option for your application. You would wat to use the Permethrin product you have for an outdoor application as it is an oil based formulation and could stain some areas. You would want to treat anywhere your dogs go in your yard. We recommend paying special attention to your entrances to your home so that you can get a barrier there.
Drione Dust would only really work if you were to dust directly into the nest, but it can take longer for this treatment to work. Even if you dust inside the rocky cover you risk the fact that may not come in contact with the product. We highly recommend that you take a look at our "How to get rid of Wasps" article. The formulation of Drione Dust has not changed. There was a pyrethrins shortage several years ago which caused Drione Dust to be hard to find for some time, but there have not been any stocking issues for awhile. It is important to store Drione Dust in a dry area with low humidity and to keep the top securely closed. If the dust gets damp or is stored in a humid area, then the dust could clump up and be more difficult to apply. If you have purchased from us and believe there is an issue with product you received, please contact us and have the manufacturer's lot stamp handy for us to reference.
Drione Dust can be applied to the attic. You should concentrate on dusting the cracks, crevices and voids and other areas where the insects harbor. If you have vents that blow air through the attic and into the home, caution should be used to take care the dust is not blown through the vents.
Drione Dust can be used in cracks and crevices, wall voids, etc. around the tub and bathroom. It will kill silverfish, springtails, and other insects that contact the treated area.

You should always keep Drione Dust and other insecticides out of reach of pets, especially birds. We would not recommend using Drione Dust directly in or on bird cages or resting areas. If you are using the dust in a neighboring room as directed on the product label, then you would not need to remove the birds from the home. Be sure to use an appropriate duster such as a Bellow Hand Duster to apply insecticide dust and avoid unnecessary exposure of people and animals to the insecticide. Using a duster will get the dust directly into cracks and crevices and help you to avoid over-application. Any excess or visible dust should be cleaned up with a moist paper towel before pets re-enter the area.
Drione dust is safe to use around pets only if you place the dust in areas where your pet cannot get to, such as inside wall voids, under appliances and other areas. It seems to us that if you really want to eliminate your roach problem you may have to limit the ferrets' access and time outside of the cage. It may take the use of pesticides to eliminate your problem. Our roach control kit has a very high success rate and will not harm the ferret if the ferret is not let out of its cage while you are treating.
Drione Dust is only a commercial product. Per product label: Take bed apart. Dust into joints and channels. If hollow, such as square or round tubing, see that the interior of framework is well dusted. Mattresses should be dusted, especially tufts, folds, and edges. Picture frame moldings and all cracks and crevices in the room should be treated. Dusting around other places: For applications in non-food areas, apply a continuous visible film where insects hide: Underneath and behind stairs, refrigerators and appliances and on, around, and behind moldings, shelving, baseboards, pipe openings, cracks and crevices.

Drione Dust is a very safe product and also very effective. Like any product. you need to make sure you apply it as directed and read all instructions for it to work properly on insects and be safe for your family. Drione Dust is meant to be applied in cracks and crevices, underneath appliances and inside wall voids. If you apply it correctly and in these types of areas, it will not be accessible for your pets and children to come in contact with but it will be in the places that bugs like to hide. You do not have to remove the pets and children while you are treating, but it would be a good idea to have them in a different room while you are applying the dust. After 30 minutes have passed after you have applied the product, it is perfectly safe for them to be back in the room that you treated.
