They work good
By Robert on 07/21/2011
We had a dead rat or something in the wall and could not get rid of the smell which was horrendous. They did reduce the smell quite a bit to the point where it is easily tolerable, but it did not eliminate it completely. I purchased 2 bags for 240 square foot room and they have been in there for over a week. I would still buy them again as I have not seen anything else on the market that comes close to what these bags do to remove nasty odors.

I was employed in pest control for 15 years and have experience with locating and removing dead rodents from homes. I had great success with this product. I read reviews saying people placed it in a room where rodents had died in the wall and the smell persisted. In my experience, you have to get the bag in the same space as the target. It has to be able to absorb the odor. It cannot do that through the drywall. Ideally, you'd remove the carcass. I understand that might not be practical in every situation, but if you could isolate the odor to a particular location, cut a hole in the wall and put the bag in it, I think you'd have much better results. If you can't cut a hole, try putting it in the attic above the wall void, or even better, drop it in the wall void from the attic. Get it in the same space as the carcass. That's my best advice.
