Product Overview

Essentria IC Pro Insecticide is a broad-spectrum water-based insecticide formulated from botanically-derived active ingredients that repels and kills listed crawling and flying insects.  Using geraniol, clove oil, and cornmint oil, Essentria IC Pro targets insects such as mosquitoes, spiders, aphids, ants, cockroaches, crickets, beetles, stink bugs, and silverfish.

This low odor (pleasant fragrance), environmentally-friendly product is excellent for both indoor and outdoor use.  It can be used in food handling areas, in and around livestock areas, around boat docks, and on a variety of edibles, including hemp (see label for full list of use sites).  It provides long-lasting residual control.

Essentria IC Pro can be used in broadcast treatments, barrier and perimeter treatments, spot treatments, and in fogging and automatic spraying systems.

Its low phytotoxicity formula prevents adverse effects on plants when in use.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

INDOOR USE: Do not apply directly to house plants. Avoid or cover any pools or aquaria prior to spraying. OUTDOOR USE: To control ants (including fire ants, big headed ants, carpenter ants), cockroaches, including German cockroaches and aid in the control of American cockroach nymphs, crickets, pill bugs, silverfish, sowbugs, and spiders (including brown recluse [on non-porous surfaces] and cellar spiders), true bugs (including brown marmorated stink bugs, boxelder bugs, Jadera bugs) in compressed air sprayers, dilute 1 to 8 fluid ounces of Essentria® IC Pro per gallon of water (use lower rate for maintenance service and higher rates for active infestations) and apply at the rate of 2 gallons per 1,000 square feet or until area is thoroughly wet. Also apply to a band of soil and vegetation 6 to 10 feet wide around and adjacent to buildings. Treat the building foundation to aheight of 2 to 3 feet with sufficient water for coverage. Make special efforts to spray areas where pest species congregate, including, but not limited to, waste receptacles, dumpsters, unoccupied picnic tables, the exterior of food handling establishments, and food pavilions. Additionally, apply around potential entry areas including, but not limited to, eaves, windows, doorways, porches, porch lights, and around utility boxes . For power sprayers, mix 1 to 8 fluid ounces of Essentria® IC Pro per gallon of water (use lower rate for maintenance service and higher rates for active infestations) and apply until area is sufficiently covered (usually min. 2 gallons per 1,000 square feet). Use care and do not spray on sensitive plants. If not sure, test spray a few leaves 2 days before spraying entire plant. Exceeding rates may create potential phytotoxicity on turf surfaces. Maintain agitation. Repeat as necessary. FOR USE ON CANNABIS, HEMP OR UNSPECIFIED FOOD CROPS: Approved in Florida for use on low-THC cannabis or medical marijuana. To control hemp aphid and spider mites, mix 1 to 8 fluid ounces of Essentria® IC Pro per gallon of water and apply at the rate of 2 gallons per 1,000 square feet or until area is thoroughly wet. Since flying insects can migrate in and out of the treatment area, it is recommended to use this product as part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program.

Hopefully this works as a 25-b exempt product, it smells awful w the addition of the corn mint oil over the old product.

    Won't be disappointed!

    By Chris on 07/12/2024

I use this on my dock along with extra peppermint oil to get rid of spiders, wasps and mud daubers and it works wonders! Inside of two weeks, there were no pests! All virtually gone! I have sprayed a few times, once every 2 weeks and nothing out there - this stuff works awesome!!

Q
How long does the effect of Essentria IC Pro Insecticide last?

Hi! I used to use the IC3 and per label for mosquitoes it says it lasts 3-4 weeks but label for this one says to re-apply every 4 days? It's not specified if this is at first and then continue with a maintenance dose?. It also doesn't specify the drying time.

A

Essentria IC Pro Insecticide has a residual of about 2-4 weeks which is the standard with natural options.  The label does give different repeat intervals depending on the target pest and area you are treating in and how often can depend on how heavy the pest pressure is.  For mosquitoes you repeat every 4 days to get the most out of the repellency and killing factor of the IC Pro.

Q
Is Essentria IC Pro Insecticide toxic to koi fish?

Carpenter Bee are attaching wood pergola,18 by 20 that sits over a fish pond, 6by 9 feet.

A

Due to the sensitive nature of this species of fish, we do not give advice on Koi ponds. We recommend contacting a local Koi expert for recommendations or consulting with the County Cooperative Extension Office for recommendations. As all insecticides are very detrimental to all types of fish, including koi fish. You should not use any insecticides around them. When people ask about products that would be safe to use around boat docks we would typically recommend either EcoVia or Essentria IC3 as these are natural products that are made from essential oils instead of pesticides. However, when Koi fish are in a pond we recommend contacting a Koi expert.

Q
Will Essentria IC Pro Insecticide control chiggers / red bugs?
A

Essentria IC Pro Insecticide's label doesn't state that it will control chiggers/redbugs.

Bifen IT is labeled to control chiggers and will work great for this use when applied to areas where chiggers harbor. Treatments for chiggers should begin in May and could need to continue through the summer as new chiggers move into the area. Treating the entire lawn is of little benefit because chiggers avoid direct sunlight and normally will not infest areas that are mowed or otherwise well-maintained. Focus treatment on the unkempt areas of the lawn and lawn edge.
