Fastrac place paks are manufactured from an advanced formulation that produces a fresh tasting, highly compressed pellet that mice and rats love. Pellets hold up well in adverse conditions, making them ideal for use in moist enviornments. The hardness of the pellet satisfies the rodent's desire to gnaw and is colored purple for easy identification. Fastrac offers a lethal dose of active ingredient bromethalin in a single feeding, with the first dead rodents appearing in one or two days after bait consumption. Read below for more information. The active ingredient bromethalin poisons the central nervous system, causing the rodent to stop feeding after ingesting the poison, so more rodents can be controlled with less bait. Determine areas where rats or mice will most likely find and consume the bait. Generally, these areas are along walls, by gnawed openings, in or beside burrows, in corners and concealed places, between floors and walls, or in locations where rodents or their signs have been seen. Protect bait from rain and snow. Rodents open the place pacs with their gnawing. The slender place pacs can be used in bait stations along rodent runways and in hard-to-reach locations. Pacs can be opened also and loose pellets poured down burrows. To increase effectiveness, remove as much alternative food as possible so that rodents will seek the bait first. Apply 1 place pac per placement. Space placements at intervals of 8 - 12 feet in infested areas. Two place pacs may be used at points of extremely high mouse activity. Dead rodents will begin to show up in one to two days, and should be disposed of immediately. Warning: This bait does not have an antidote. In other words, there is no known agent to neutralize or counteract the effects of Bromethalin poisoning. While it does take a relatively large amount of bait for poisoning to occur, children, pets, and non-targeted animals should not be exposed.
IMPORTANT: Do not expose children, pets, or non-target animals to rodenticides.
To help prevent accidents:
- Store unused product out of reach of children and pets.
- Apply bait in locations out of reach of children, pets, domestic animals and nontarget wildlife, or in tamper resistant bait stations. These stations must be resistant to destruction by dogs and by children under six years of age, and must be used in a manner that prevents such children from reaching into bait compartments and obtaining bait. If bait can be shaken from bait stations when they are lifted, units must be secured or otherwise immobilized. Stronger bait stations are needed in areas open to hoofed livestock, raccoons, bears or other potentially destructive animals, or in areas prone to vandalism.
- Dispose of product container and unused, spoiled or unconsumed bait as specified on this label.
For control of house mice. When used in USDA-inspected facilities, this must be applied in tamper-resistant bait stations. Do not broadcast bait.
This may be used in and around the periphery of homes, industrial, commercial, and public buildings. May also be used in transport vehicles (ships, trains, aircraft) and in and around related port or terminal buildings. May also be used in alleys. Do not use in sewers.
This may be used inside of homes and agricultural buildings.
SELECTION OF TREATMENT AREAS:
Determine areas where mice will most likely find and consume the bait. Generally, these areas are along walls, by gnawed openings, in or beside burrows, in corners and concealed places, between floors and walls, or in locations where rodents or their signs have been seen. Protect bait from rain and snow. Remove as much alternative food as possible.
- RATS: Apply 2 to 12 place paks per placement (usually at intervals of 15 to 30 feet). Adjust the amount of bait applied to the level of rat feeding expected at each bait placement.
- MICE: Apply 1 place pak per placement. Space placements at intervals of 8 - 12 feet in infested areas. Two place paks may be used at points of extremely high mouse activity.
- BAITING STRATEGY: Highest bait consumption is expected to occur on the first day or two after treatment begins. After several days, inspect the placement and replenish bait at sites where there is evidence of heavy feeding or where there is continued evidence of rodent activity. Normally, the volume of bait consumed will be significantly less with bromethalin baits than with anticoagulant baits. Although one night's feeding will usually provide a lethal dose, maintain bait for at least one week to provide all rodents a chance to feed on the bait. Continue baiting until all signs of feeding have ceased. Collect and properly dispose of all dead, exposed animals and leftover bait. To prevent reinfestation, limit sources of rodent food, water, and harborage as much as possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. Where a continuous source of infestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and replenish as needed.

I had mice running around in the ceiling between our downstairs game room and the 1st floor. It was creepy. I thought I'd buy something like Fastrac, drill some small holes in the ceiling, push pellets up, kill the varmints! But just to see what would happen, I distributed about 15 Packs around my foundation, yard and shed and under my porch. In two weeks, no more creepy mice dancing on my ceiling. No holes. We live in the far suburbs of Pittsburgh. Lots of farms and subdivisions. Lots mice. One of our friends had same problem in their very fancy ceiling, as do many here. She paid $400 to Terminix to come out and poison her whole house. Plus they had to stay in a hotel for 2 days. My way was far cheaper, and much much better. (I love to trump my lawyer friends!) I in no way am associated with this company, but I love em'.

Fastrack Place Paks
By Diann in Garland, Texas on 03/12/2015
I ordered some place paks from DoMyOwnPestControl.com and....well, they were great! The young man I spoke to in the phone (I think his name was Hunter) was very helpful. Gave me lots of information on various products and how they worked. I received my order very quickly and was able to start treatment right away and so far, so good. I put between 10 and 15 packets out at night and in the morning they were empty. I have done this several nights in a row...pausing for rain..and the rats seem to have finally disappeared! I have and will continue to recommend DMOPC and Fastrac Place Paks!
Has worked great and easy to use

I placed the packets in the usually spot where i know they go to. However, they have not touched one of the packets. Therefore I have no resolution to give on this product. How do I feel I am not a happy camper , because I spent over $75.00 for this guaranteed product to kill mice and they will not touch the stuff and still have mice.

Fastrac Place Paks
By Dorothy in chicago, illinois on 05/20/2017
I am able to sleep again. My apt was infested with mice. Nothing I tried helped. I was spending over $70 weekly and mice were eating bait and getting fat. Boldly walking about during day light and in middle of floor. Thanks to DoMyOwn my apt appears mice free after just 2 days. Container arrived in only a couple of days. Works extremely well and price is reasonable. Have shared info with neighbors. Company described their product well, identifying content of product. A customer forever.

These are great
By Del in Detroit, MI on 08/29/2016
This has been a terrible summer for rats. We had a mild winter last year and those varmints did not freeze to death. So far, I have gone through 80 of the blue blocks. most of the red jaguar blocks(100), and down to 10 packs of Fastrac. That is a lot of poison. I have not found one dead yet but my neighbors has found four. Heard on radio, a guy said he has snapped over 70 rats this summer not to far from me so it is a huge problem. I am going to reorder these as they will stay dry in the wet fall and winter coming.
Seems to work

QDoes bromethalin have a secondary kill? If my dog eats the dead rat or mouse will it poison my dog?
I live in the country and may not be able to find all dead rats or mice before my dog finds them.
AWe would recommend our new rodent bait from Bell Products called Terad3 Blox. It is a new rodent bait that significantly reduces the risk of secondary poisoning. Also, a dog or cat would have to get a hold of numerous dead rodents to feel the effects of Fastrac rodent bait, usually more than 10, and the pet would have to actually consume the entire rodent. Most pets might play around with a dead rodent, but they usually do not consume it.
QHow long will Fastrac Place Paks last in the closed bucket since there also sealed in the paks 2-3 years
AFastrac Place Paks has a shelf life of 1 year after the tub is opened. Let us know if you have any questions.

QCan you just place the Fastrac Place pak and all or do you need to empty the package ?
AYou do not need to tear open the Fastrac Place paks. Rodents like to gnaw through the packages.
QIs Fastrac Place Paks effective for moles?
ANo, Fastrac place paks are not labled for moles. You should use Talpirid Mole Bait, which is our best selling bait for moles.
QIs the packaging plastic or paper on the Fastrac Place Paks?
I am looking for something that will be bio-degradable. If these packages are not biodegradable, do you have a product that comes in biodegradable packages? We are using it in a poultry manure pit (no chickens have access to it) and we can't have plastic in the manure.
AThe packets are made of a wax coated paper. We spoke to the manufacturer (Bell Labs) to ask their advice on your situation. They said that they are not sure how well these packets would degrade under these conditions. They suggested opening the packs and sprinkling around the manure piles (must be an area that is completely inaccessible to non-target animals and people) or using bait in tamper resistant bait stations. All of the place paks on our site are made by Bell Labs, so they contain the same wax coated paper.

QI have a small critter of some sort between the brick facing and the wood framed wall.
I have tried mouse traps with no success. Is the some kind of safe poison or repellent that I could drop into the 1-2" space to get rid of this annoying critter? The wall in question is 20' wide by 10' high.
AYou could place the Fastrac Place Packs in that area. As long as it is not in an area that other animals, or children could get into. The rat or mouse will gnaw into pack.
QWill Fastrac Place Paks kill squirrels?
AFastrac Place Paks could harm squirrels if they were to consume it. We cannot recommend to use Fastrac Place Paks for squirrels, as they are not labeled for squirrels. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
