    Q
What is the effective range of Fog RX Propane Insect Fogger application in trees?
Would like to control mosquitoes in for an outdoor event in our 4 acre field surrounded by 60 maple trees and some brush.
    A
The propane insect fogger is really a small fogger and does not have a very long range.  It is meant for up close treatment, meaning you will only be able to fog lower lying bushes, shrubs and trees.  However, mosquitoes usually stay close to the ground on lower foliage so this should not be a problem.  You do have to cover the entire area though....the fog will not travel very far typically with wind and other factors that can direct it away from the surfaces you would like to cover.

    Q
What type of propane tank is needed for use with the Fog RX Propane Insect Fogger? Insecticide?
I have an approx 1000sf garden that is overrun with aggressive mosquitoes! Need something like this (I think) to make my garden usable again. RE propane: what exactly do I need? A small tank? RE repellant: do you carry the mosquito repellant recommended on the box? RE usage: Not sure how easy it is for me to get propane where I live so curious if you have this on sale as well... please advise whenever you have a moment.
    A
We do not carry the small propane tanks that are required for use with the Fog RX Propane Insect Fogger but most hardware stores and big box stores do carry them and they are pretty readily available. You can check with your local stores before purchase to make sure they carry the 14.1 oz tall style propane cylinders that are required (3 inches in diameter x 10.5 inches long). Do NOT use the shorter 16 oz lantern style cylinders as they are known to cause flare ups or uncontrolled burn. You can learn more about using the fogger by reading the product label which we linked in this answer for your convenience but which is always available on the Fog RX Propane Insect Fogger product page on our site under the picture of the product. We do carry the Bonide Bug Beater Lawn and Garden Fogging solution that is recommend on the fogger box.

  • Asked by Ethan from Aspermont, Tx
    02/14/2020
    Q
I have LOTS of spiders and scorpions. Is there a chemical that can be used in the Fog RX Propane Insect Fogger that will kill spiders and or scorpions?
    A

The Fog RX Propane Insect Fogger could be used along with the Shockwave or other thermal fogging solutions. Be sure you are not using the fogger in an indoor or otherwise constricted area due to fire hazard. Shockwave Fogging Concentrate is a powerful fogging insecticide that delivers two killing agents, two synergists and an IGR for devastating insect control. Use Shockwave for heavy duty infestations. This new fogging concentrate delivers the highest-level immediate control with the added benefit of an insect growth regulator (IGR).  Shockwave will flush insects out of their hiding places, provide fast knockdown, and lasting residual activity. This may be used in homes or businesses, indoors or outdoors around structures and in ULV foggers.

  • Asked by Albert from Jacksonville, Fl

    Q
Can I use the Fog RX Propane Insect Fogger inside my home?
    I have a roach problem.
    A

The Fog RX Propane Insect Fogger should not be used indoors for any insect control. It should be used outdoors only as directed. If you have roaches in the home, we would recommend flushing/killing on contact the roaches that are present with a product like CB-80 and then perform non-chemical efforts (cleaning and reducing moisture and food sources etc). We suggest to then apply the products in our Roach Control Rotation A Kit as directed. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article/videos on How to Get Rid of Roaches for a successful program.

  • Asked by Troy from Laurel, Delaware

    Q
Is there an organic insecticide or aphids that can be used in the Fog RX Propane Insect Fogger?
    A

EcoVia is a natural product (not certified organic) that can be used in thermal foggers for control of mosquitoes and other pests. Per the label: FOGGING: For ULV (cold fog) and thermal fog applications, apply undiluted or dilute with light mineral oil or another suitable non-phytotoxic diluent. Use up to 0.25-1.5 fl oz of product per 1000 sq ft of ground surface area, or up to 10-60 fl oz per acre. Use higher rates for heavy vegetation and/or when target insect populations are high. For best results, apply when insects are most active and when conditions are conducive to keeping the fog close to the ground. Please see the EcoVia EC Label for complete application instructions.

    Q
Can Naturecide Pest Management be used in the Fog Rx?
    A

We would not recommend using Nature-Cide Pest Management with the Fog RX Propane Insect Fogger. The product is not labeled for a thermal fogger specifically, we would recommend using Mosquito Beater Flying Insect Fog instead.
