    Q
Is Gentrol a repellent or non-repellent?
    And is there a residual?
    A

Gentrol Complete Aerosol? is a non-repellent product that the insects can not sense where it has been applied, thus insuring they will come in contact with the treated surfaces.  Gentrol Complete Aerosol has about a 30 day residual.

    Q
Should I bug bomb a shipping container from Hawaii to the Mainland for cockroaches? What should I use?
My 97 yr old father-in-law from Hawaii is moving in with us in Washington State. I'm afraid he may be bringing some cockroaches in his shipping container and they'll take up residence here! Any advice? Thank you!
    A

You could potentially use a fogger in a shipping container if it were not completely full and you had access to use the fogger correctly before the container were sealed up for shipment. The problem with fogging is that it only kills insects that are exposed at the time the insecticide is released. If you are able to treat the container before it is packed, then you could use a residual insecticide around the edges and in corners, either a liquid concentrate or an aerosol like Gentrol Complete. Gentrol Complete has both residual insecticide plus an Insect Growth Regulator, which is kind of like birth control for bugs. You could also use roach bait stations like Maxforce FC Roach Bait Stations in the container and also in storage tubs or boxes that you suspect may have roaches.

Regardless, we would strongly recommend cleaning as much as possible before the move and discarding any infested items that cannot be cleaned so that roaches or other insects are not brought into the new residence.

    Q
Can Gentrol Complete Aerosol be used with your B&G Aerosol Delivery Unit, BASF Compatible - ADUWM (24000050)?
    A

The The B&G Aerosol Delivery Unit, BASF Compatible - ADUWM (24000050) is compatible with aerosol cans by CB, BASFEcoSMART, and Whitmire Micro-Gen products, without any pesticide leakage. Since Gentrol Complete Aerosol is made by Zoecon, we would recommend checking with B&G to see if that product can be used in their unit.  They can be reached at 1-800-544-8811.

    Q
Can Gentrol Complete Aerosol be applied directly to tub drains for roaches?
    A

Gentrol Complete Aerosol is not labeled to be applied directly to drains for roach control.

For active roaches indoors, a combination of products and repeat treatments are required to eradicate them. We would recommend one of our Roach Control Kits for a complete treatment program. Each Kit contains roach bait gel, insect growth regulator (IGR), and residual spray to treat for this pest.

Please also take a few moments to review our online Roach Treatment Guide for more tips.
