    Can Gentrol IGR be mixed with Arilon?
    Mixing Gentrol with Arilon Insecticide made by Sengenta. Can this be done considering the label on Arilon states do not use with end use product.

    There would be no issue with mixing Gentrol IGR Concentrate with Arilon Insecticide as long as both are mixed as directed on the label.  That wording is more for if another manufacturer is trying to create another product.

    What products can be mixed with Gentrol IGR Concentrate?
    A

    Gentrol IGR Concentrate prevents pest larvae from progressing to the pupal stage of development, so the larvae die before they become breeding adults, so it is usually applied in conjunction with an adulticide. Please tell us what pests you are targeting and we are glad to make a recommendation.

    Can Gentrol poison a person if it drips onto their skin, if so what are symptoms may have to spray overhead
    A

    Gentrol IGR Concentrate would not poison a person just from brief skin contact.  That being said it is recommended to avoid contact and to wash areas well if contact is made.  The SDS has complete safety information.  If spraying overhead onto ceilings/walls it would be recommend to wear long sleeves, pants, mask, gloves etc to prevent skin contact with any dripping product.

    Per the manufacterer, 1 ounce of Gentrol IGR Concentrate in 1 gallon of water will yield 0.07?tive ingredient in that 1 gallon of mixed solution.

    How do I use Gentrol IGR Concentrate?
    What do I need to spray this? I dont have a lot of money to buy some special equipment.

    Gentrol IGR Concentrate can be applied with a 1 gallon handpump sprayer.  This product is also available in a ready-to-use aerosol version.

    I just sprayed Gentrol IGR on my floors, how long should I not mop my floors?
    A
    Gentrol IGR Concentrate should not be applied across entire floor surfaces.  You are only applying along baseboards and in cracks and crevices down low.  If you have applied all over you should mopped to remove immediately and reapply only as directed on the label.  You can then wait 24 hours to mop but be sure to avoid the areas along where you have applied as you will remove the product otherwise.

    What can be used to remove debris from diluted Gentrol IGR Concentrate that has remained in the hand pump sprayer? It's been sitting in the tank for years.

    Neutralize Spray Tank Cleaner can be used in a pump sprayers to remove any chemical residual from pesticides.

    Do I have to apply Gentrol IGR Concentrate every time I reapply the Temprid Fx or just the first time I spray?
    A

    Temprid FX and Gentrol IGR Concentrate should be applied once every 90 days. Bait should be applied to areas not sprayed every couple of weeks for 90 days and rotate with another bait gel after that time. You should not apply inside of electronics, etc. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article and videos here for more details on the application includes good bait placements.

    Gentrol IGR Concentrate can be tank mixed with insecticides that are labeled for roaches. It is mixed at 1 fl oz per gallon of water.

    Gentrol IGR Concentrate and Temprid FX should NOT be sprayed on bed linens including bed sheets. They should only be applied to areas listed on the product label.

    Can I spray Tekko with Alpine over an old Gentrol IGR Concentrate application?
    Hi I want to spray Tekko Pro and Alpine WSG mixed together. The exterminator did a 30 day service last spray with Gentrol was 3 weeks ago. I just want to get the areas well before putting our food and dishes away again in a few days. Will there be any bad reaction sprayingTekko over 3 week old Gentrol application? If so, how long must I wait?

    Since Tekko Pro IGR and Gentrol IGR Concentrate use different growth regulator active ingredients there should be no issue with the mixed solution of Tekko IGR + Alpine WSG over an area where Gentrol IGR has been applied.

    Can you use Gentrol as an IGR for fleas?

    Gentrol IGR is not labeled for fleas.  The same company that makes Gentrol does make another IGR specifically for fleas called Precor IGR.  This is the IGR you should use for fleas.

    Can you help me identify the insects in my single wide trailer?
    My husband and I live in a single wide trailer, and I know we have roaches and termites. Also, there is another bug. The bug is like a sticker that hits you and when you take it off, its green and oval. When on clothes, it's like a sticker (light in color), when it's wet it's like a space ship with a green dot. I can't get them out of the laundry. When I sprayed for fleas, I got these bugs. I don't even know what else is in the house. I need help!

    Unfortunately, without seeing the insect we have no way to identify it. We recommend you either call a professional pest control company and have them come out and do a free inspection (most companies offer a free inspection/identification) or take samples of the insect to your local cooperative extension office to have the insects identified. Once you have the insects identified, we can help you select the products you will need to eliminate them. As for the roaches, we have put together a roach control kit that contains all of the products we recommend for effective roach elimination. In order to recommend what products you need for termites, we will need further information. Do you have a current infestation? If so, where? Do you have dry-wood termites or subterranean termites? If you are not sure of the answers to these questions, you could always call out the pros for a free inspection.

    Can I mix Gentrol IGR with Steri-Fab?
    A
    No. Steri-Fab has an alcohol base and comes as an end use product (which means that it does not need to diluted with water). Gentrol must be diluted with a gallon of water to be properly applied.

    Can an IGR like Gentrol concentrate be mixed with this product?

    We apologize but you did not state what product you are wanting the Gentrol IGR to be mixed with so we can not say for 100% sure that there are no problems with this. However, Gentrol IGR is designed to be mixed with most insecticides that are labeled for the same insects and treatment areas as its label. Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Is Gentrol a good combatant for fruit flies?
    If it doesn't work well, what is a good chemical to use for knock down and long term residual? Besides a trap/cup.

    Gentrol is a product used to sterilize fruit flies. This means it will keep them from reproducing, it is not a product that will kill adult fruit flies. For knockdown of the adult fruit flies, you should use 565 Plus Aerosol or Clean Air Purge.

    Is wearing a proper mask with filters necessary when spraying Gentrol?
    This is how I was trained. However, I read the label and instructions and I never came across wearing a mask.

    While going above and beyond with safety is always encouraged, the product label itself states all safety instructions that need to be followed. If there is ever a doubt, go with the label as it is what is considered law for its minimal safety equipment required.

    May I put Gentrol IGR in same room I kennel dogs?

    Gentrol IGR is safe to use on a room where dogs are in kennels. Just make sure to keep the dogs away from the treated area until it dries.

    Can I mix Gentrol with Bifen IT for tick control inside?
    Is Gentrol an effective IGR to manage an indoor tick infestation when mixed with Bifen IT? How long after application should it take to see results?

    Gentrol IGR is not labeled for ticks. Bifen IT is labeled for ticks but can only be applied to cracks and crevices. We recommend applying the products in out Tick Control Kit for the most effective control.
