Our rose beds are difficult to access because they are on a tiered retaining wall. It is almost impossible to apply a granular fertilizer after bloom out, and because spray applications are made from an elevated position above the plants, any liquid applications are necessarily going to contact the plant leaves and stems. Will this product work as a foliar application to roses, or do you have other products you would recommend for this situation? I also need to treat the roses for Japanese beetles, so I thought if I could tank mix a water soluble fertilizer with the insecticide it would save some time.
Most of the time you can apply products like Grow More 8-10-8 Magnum Grow Rose Food and Talstar P together and apply them at the same time so long as all the product labels of the items you are using allow tank mixing. While it shouldn't harm the roses to do this, and many companies will apply multiple products together when treating lawns, separating the sprays even by a little can be easier on the plants’ health. The Grow More does give instructions for either a soil or foliar application.
