    Will Crossbow kill buckthorn?
    A

     Crossbow can be used to kill cut buckthorn stumps.  Apply immediately after cutting the stump to prevent resprouting.

    What is the effect if Crossbow Herbicide gets on your body?
    A

    Per the Crossbow Herbicide SDS, it will cause mild irritation or allergic skin reaction. Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15 to 20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.

    What time of year is most effective to use Crossbow Herbicide?
    Is December an acceptable time of year?
    A

    It is best to apply Crossbow Herbicide  when the plants are actively growing, which would be when the temperature is above 55 degress and below 85 degrees. For some viney plants, there are dormant stem applications. Please refer to the product label for your specific needs.

    How long after an application of Crossbow Herbicide do I have to wait until I can replant?

    It is recommended that you wait at least three weeks after an application of Crossbow Herbicide before reseeding areas.

    Does Crossbow Herbicide kill Crabgrass?
    A

    Crossbow Herbicide is not labeled to treat for Crabgrass. We would recommend a product like Drive XLR8 depending on what type of lawn you have.

    Will Crossbow Herbicide work to get rid of Glory Bower (Clerodendrum trichotomum)?
    We have glory bower that is sending out shoots everywhere and trying to get rid of it entirely. Will crossbow work or is there a better product?

    Crossbow Herbicide should kill Glory Bower as it is a woody plant. We cannot gurantee it however because it has not been tested for it. It may be best to spot treat the Shoots with Round up

    Will Crossbow herbicide kill vetch but not harm Asiatic jasmine?
    I have Asiatic Jasmine on a berm that has become infested with vetch. Will Crossbow kill the vetch without harming the jasmine?

    We would not recommend spraying the Asiatic jasmine with Crossbow Herbicide because it will likely harm that as well.

    Can I mix Crossbow and Ranger Pro in the same spray tank together? Do I still follow the ratios for each product?

    Yes, Crossbow and Ranger Pro can be mixed in the same tank. You will mix the rates according to the targeted weeds etc.

    Does Crossbow need to be applied to grass right before a rain?

    Crossbow Herbicide should not be applied before a rain, but is rainfast in 6 hours and it would be recommended to be applied when rain is not expected within 24 hours of application for best results.

    Can Crossbow Herbicide be used around a lake?
    A

    Crossbow can be toxic to fish and may be toxic to aquatic invertebrates. We recommend to keep at least a 10-15 foot distance away from the pond during treatment to protect any aquatic life in that pond. You may browse our Aquatic Herbicides here.

    Is Crossbow safe for butterflies, birds bees etc.....the things our environment needs to survive?

    Crossbow Herbicide should not harm benefical insects as long as they are not spray directly.  We would recommend spraying when they are not in the area, early morning or late evening when they are less active.

    Does Crossbow kill cactus?
    A

    Crossbow Herbicide is not labeled to treat for cactus. This does not mean however it will not work. We were advised by the manufacturer that application depends on what type of land you would be applying to. Please contact Dow Agrosciences at 800-992-5994 fo assistance with Crossbow Herbicide.

    Can I apply Crossbow to kill Scotch broom without damaging Douglas fir?

    No, Crossbow Herbicide should not be applied to any desirable ornamentals or trees because it has the potential to them.

    Will Crossbow Herbicide kill thistles?

    Will Crossbow kill my Fir/ Cedar trees if I spray the back berries and poison ivy growing under them?

    Very small quantities of spray, which may not be visible, may seriously injure susceptible plants; however, Fir and Cedar trees are not listed on the label as either tolerant or suseptible.     What is the best mix ratio of Crossbow Herbicide when treating poison oak?
    A

    Per the Crossbow Herbicide label when treating for poison oak, it should be applied at a 1-1.5% mix (1 1/3-2 fl oz) rate for high volume foliar applications.
