While you could use the Hi-Yield 38 Plus for scorpion control, a better option would be something that sits on the surface better and lasts longer. Cy-Kick CS and Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion spray are the two best options for scorpion control. Both products are easy to mix with water and spray around the home. Not only will they kill scorpions, but will also kill all the other insects present around your home that they are feeding on. Since scorpions have thicker skin, you will need to spray a wider barrier around your home. Spray 2-3 feet up on the side and a minimum of 6 feet out on the ground. Make sure to also spray other entry points of the home like where wires/pipes enter the house, window frames and door frames.

Once dry, Hi Yield 38 Plus will not be harmful to your dog if they eat the grass that was sprayed. The small amount of active ingredient that is left behind is only enough to harm a small insect and would have to be ingested in large quantities to harm a dog.

You would mix 1.6 fl oz of Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin with 1 gallon of water to make a 0.5% spray solution to treat active infestations only. Please be aware that while labeled for termites, it will only kill the termites that are in the treated area or that are sprayed directly and would be a good preventative for them. Termidor SC is a much better product that will help to eliminate the colony of subterranean termites and also be a great preventative when used in a trench around a home.

You should not apply Hi-Yield 38-Plus in a way that would directly contaminate a well or cistern. It would otherwise be safe to use on the property in accordance with the product label. You could use this product for perimeter pest treatment on your property, however the product label does exclude using Hi-Yield 38-Plus for termite treatments on properties with a well or cistern.
According to the Hi Yield 38-Plus product label you should use dilute 0.4 to 0.8 fl ozs. (2 1/2 to 5 tsp.) in at least 4 gallons of water and this dilution should be sprayed over 1,000 sq. ft for flea control in the yard.

We would recommend using something like Talstar P inside of your kennel for pests. Be sure to remove the pets out of the area until the product has dried completely. It is safe for pets to return to the area after that.
