Is Bora-Care safe for a kitchen table

I have a pine kitchen table and we can hear the chomping of two (or more?) beetles. If I strip the table, apply BoraCare, and then refinish with tung oil and then several coats of polyurethane will the table be safe as dining table? We do eat from plates but bread etc is occasionally put right on the table top!

Answer:

As long as the table is sealed as described in your question, BoraCare is safe to use on the table. Many professional furniture companies use Boracare for this type of application.
