Actually, since you would not be applying Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel in areas where dishes or silverware would come into contact with the bait, this would not be a concern. The gel bait should be applied in the upper corners of cabinets, under the lip of counter top, on the door hinge to the cabinet, etc. A useful tip is to cut wax paper into 1 x 1 squares and place a pea size amount on the wax paper. This makes it easy to slide far back into cabinets, under appliances and to replace the bait placements after 2-3 weeks or when the bait is consumed. We have a diagram here which illustrates more areas where bait can be placed.
There is no set temperature that is best for applying the Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel as it is more for inside applications. If using outside it is only placed in areas that are not exposed to weather, ie in cracks and crevices. It would be best to not apply when it is too hot if doing so as it will cause the bait to be more liquidy and not stay in the applied area.
