Monterey Once A Year Insect Control II is an imidacloprid insecticide for control of leaf hoppers, mealy bugs, scale, whitefly, borers (including Emerald Ash Borer), and many other pests in ornamental trees, shrubs, and certain fruit and nut trees. Once A Year Insect Control II is used as a soil drench treatment that controls target pests for a whole season.

I have been using this product for 3 years now for ash bores. Product is easy to use, and so far has protected my ash tree. Will continue to use, and have recommended to others.

Read Full Answer »Grasses or other plants could absorb some of the product but if you use a higher volume of water it will really help get the product down to the roots of the tree.
