What is Sucker-Stopper RTU?
Sucker-Stopper RTU is made from the plant growth regulator napthaleneacetate (NAA). This product is widely used in commercial agriculture to prevent suckers and as a thinning agent on fruit trees.
What is Sucker-Stopper RTU used for?
Sucker-Stopper RTU is used to prevent suckers and water sprouts on apples, pears, olives, non-bearing citrus and woody ornamental plants.
Why should I spray my tree?
Many trees produce suckers every spring. Even though you cut them back, the suckers will continue to come back all summer long, which can be very annoying. One application of Sucker-Stopper RTU can prevent this recurrence. Also, after pruning, many trees will put out suckers around the pruning wound. These are very hard to keep under control. One application of Sucker-Stopper RTU after pruning will prevent this. Thoroughly cover the primary wound or where the existing sprouts have been removed. Be sure to treat before new growth suckers are 10 inches in length. The earlier you treat, the better. Control should last about 3 months.
What precautions should I use with Sucker-Stopper RTU?
On bearing trees (apples, pears, olives), do not apply during bloom or fruit set because fruit set reduction may occur. On woody ornamentals, this is not a problem. Do not apply the spray to buds or foliage or injury may occur. Simply apply to the area around the primary wound or to the root suckering area. Be sure to apply before new suckers are 10 inches in length. For additional information see the supplemental label.

I can't tell whether the product works. All I can get is a solid stream out of both nozzles. It is pretty hard to cover leaves, cuts and trunks with a nozzle that covers a little area

I see that DMOPC doesn't carry this anymore but I wanted to say I've had a bottle for a while that I haven't been able to use because they spray bottle is defective.
