    Q
Is Niban Fine Granular Bait safe for dogs?
    A

Niban Fine Granular Bait is considered a pet safe product, as long as you follow the product label. This product should be applied only in cracks and crevices and in inaccessible areas where kids or pets cannot access it (ie; behind appliances, in wall voids, etc.). You of course would not want to keep the bottle of Niban open where a pet could consume a large quantity. Keep in mind that these products are only strong enough to kill small insects when applied properly and it is only recommended to use this product in small quantities. It does not take much to do the job.

    Q
What is the difference between Niban Granular Bait and Niban FG?
    A
The 'FG' in Niban FG stands for 'fine granular.'  This means that the granules in the Niban FG will be finer (smailler) than those in the Niban Granular Bait.  The finer granules make it easier to apply Niban FG in small cracks and crevices.

    Q
    Will Niban harm small geckos?
We live in Hawaii, and we have a lot of geckos in and outside of our home. I want to kill the roaches that the geckos don't get, however, I don't want to harm them in anyway. We also have wild chickens and roosters. Will Niban take care of the palmettos?
    A
Geckos are not attracted to the Niban granules and they are highly unlikely to dead insects that have succumbed to the bait. Niban granules should have no effect on geckos, chickens or roosters. American cockroaches, sometimes called palmetto bugs are listed on the Niban granule product label and the Niban granules seem to do a great job eliminating them.

Depending on what you are baiting for, you would be hard pressed to find a product with a longer lasting residual than Niban Fine Granular Bait - 1 lb

    Q
I have 4 cats and 1 dog. My Mother is on oxygen 24/7, will the Niban granules injure them in anyway?
My Mother is on oxygen 24/7, I have 4 cats, and 1 dog. Will it harm my pets if they ingest the granules? Also, will the granules kill the female & the egg sack she is carrying? I have an infestation of German Cockroaches, severe, and have Orkin coming out to put the gel out, but, they seem to keep coming out. I have been cleaning a lot of "stuff" out of my house that would give them a place to hide a breed. Also, are the granules good for killing fire ants? I have them in my front yard and nothing seems to work on them, except gasoline, which I refuse to use. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you in advance.
    A
The Niban Granules are very safe and should cause no issues with your pets, as long as you apply them correctly.  The niban granules are no stronger than anything Orkin has placed out in your home.  Of course you would not want to leave the Niban Granules out in the open where your pets could get into the container.  You should apply the Niban Granules underneath and behind appliances, in wall voids, and other places that your pets cannot gain access to.  It will not kill the egg sack, only the roaches that eat the granules.  Niban is not labeled for fire ants.  For fire ants we would recommend our most popular product which is Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait.

    Q
Can Niban be put in trays in attic and when would they need to be replaced?
Large attic with silverfish problem in some areas. Grandchildren occasionally like to go get things from the attic so I want to use removable trays instead of spreading around. How long will it last?
    A
Niban can be put in removable bait trays such as a bait plate station in the attic area. You should plan on replacing the bait every couple of months to ensure it is still fresh.

    Q
How many bottles of 1 lb Niban Fine Granular Bait do I need?
My house is about 24 feet by 42 feet. I see a ton of silverfish mostly on the upper floor, so I suspect there are a lot of them in the attic and inside the walls. I want to go into the attic and treat it with Niban FG. About how many bottles of 1 lb Niban FG do I need to treat the entire attic and pour some down the inside of the walls?
    A

When using Niban Fine Granular Bait you apply at a rate of 4 pounds per 1000 sq. ft of surface area. Spread evenly in crawl spaces, attics, drop ceilings, and cellars with dirt and gravel floors. In attics, be sure to apply in eaves and access drains. This product may also be applied to inaccessible areas such as cracks and crevices where insects may hide.

    Q
Will Niban Fine Granular Bait - 1 lb. kill bed bugs?
    What are the application rates?
    A

Niban Fine Granular Bait - 1 lb. will not kill bed bugs as it is a bait that must be ingested and bed bugs do not have a mouth able to do so.  They have a piercing sucking mouth for blood drinking.  We recommend using a bedbug kit. Our kits provides you with the professional products necessary to do a complete bed bug treatment in your home. Which kit you choose depends on the number of rooms needing to be treated.  We also have a great guide here that can explain the needed treatment.
