Onslaught is not labeled for Cheyletiella mites and this type of mite does not live off of the host animal and do not infest the environment. This mite is contagious by direct contact with other infected animals only. If a dog is constantly infested it could mean that an egg or mite was missed/still exists on the animal or they are being introduced from contact with infested animals. We recommend that animals are seen by a veterinarian and treated according to the veterinarian's instructions.
Onslaught can last up to 60 to 90 days on outside surfaces but it can be applied as often as every 7 days if needed. Generally most people apply once a month and it is still effective in rainy areas.

For general pest control, treatments should be directed to cracks and crevices inside as you should also apply a barrier outside around the perimeter. We have a great video here that shows where to spray for perimeter and interior spraying. Onslaught is a great option for them and is labeled for over 200 pests.
Onslaught Insecticide can be applied to listed interior crevices once every 90 days. According to the product label, when treating crawling insect pests indoors you are able to repeat application as needed but do not exceed more than 1 application every 7 days.
