It uses Bifenthrin as its active ingredient which effectively kill insect pests like ants, cockroaches, centipedes, earwigs, fleas, ticks, millipedes, silverfish, spiders, and other listed insects. It guarantees to eliminate these bugs from indoor and outdoor surfaces of your home such as kitchens, bathrooms, doors and windows, basements, perimeter foundations, doors and windows, patios and decks, and garages. It features a fast-acting formula which guarantees a quick and effective result, along with non-staining and odor-free formula to make every application pleasant. It comes with an extended reach wand or "Comfort wand applicator" which makes spraying easier because of its multiple spray settings and easy-grip handle. Product comes in 1.1 gal. bottle.

Wand Issue

I have used this product for years and have never had any issue with it doing a good job. My complaint is with the wand. I have the new battery type wand and this is my third unit that has had a bad wand. It works for a couple of months then quits. I have changed batteries and it is still dead. I am getting ready to just start putting it in pressure tanks and spraying from there. The wand needs to be researched and determine why they are not lasting long. The only pull handle worked better than this new design.

I hear it’s a pretty effective product by those who were able to get it out of its container. Seriously, your Ortho wand is a joke. Only wish you offered the old fashioned pump spray. Unfortunately, our landfills are filling fast with battery operated Ortho sprayers.

According to the manufacturer of Ortho Home Defense MAX Insect Killer Indoor & Perimeter with Comfort Wand, this product will dry clear and not stain, or harm, your paint as long as you follow the instructions on the product label. You may spray this product around windows as well as areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, family rooms, pantries, attics, garages, basements, closets, storage areas, bedrooms, perimeter foundations, doors, patios and decks.
How can I clean this out before I store my food back in?
You will need to wash the cabinet out with warm soapy water to remove the residue of an incorrect application of Ortho Home Defense MAX Insect Killer Indoor & Perimeter
