Product Overview

Protecta EVO Express Bait Station is made for ease-of-use and security. Protecta EVO Express Bait Station comes equipped with a concrete block in the station base reducing the labor needed to place the station - no need to secure it to the ground or glue it to a block. There are holes if you prefer to use a duckbill to anchor the Protecta EVO Express Bait Station to the ground. The trap made of durable 100 percent recycled plastic has a removable tray to service the station easily. The Protecta EVO Express Bait Station is tamper resistant with an entry ramp that keeps other animals and children out.

To make your job easier the Protecta EVO Express Bait Station has a single-locking mechanism, tracking software compatible bar code in the lid, slots for service cards, and a form that makes stacking traps a breeze.

Use two Trapper T-Rex Rat Traps; two Mini T-Rex Mouse Traps; up to 8 bait blox can be placed on locking rods that will not fall out when servicing; or any combination of these in the Protecta EVO Express Bait Station. The station can also hold the Helland Liquid Rodent Bait Dispenser for using liquid baits inside. We do sell EVO Keys and Replacement Rods separately if more are needed.

I have been using a pest control service for the rats we have. I am being charged $90.00 for them to come and refill the bait boxes. I decided I am tired of paying such a high price. I found this vendor online and ordered my own bait and boxes. The order came in quickly and nothing was damaged. The boxes are exactly like the ones the pest control service use! By doing this myself, I will be saving tons of money! Thanks for offering the public, products we can use ourselves.

These bait stations were recommended to me as the most effective bait station used by professionals. However, after getting them, I ended up not needing them and was dreading the return shipping cost because it's a 65lb box. DMOPC happily sent me a prepaid return label that reflected *their* cost for shipping, which was a tiny fraction of what I would have paid. They then deducted the postage from my refund. It was quick and easy and I would do business with them again in a heartbeat. You don't often find customer service like this anymore.

The Protecta EVO Express Bait Station itself only holds bait, does not have anything in it that will kill. However, we do not have any baits labeled to kill rabbits as that would be inhumane. Below are the only products we have labeled for them.

Do the rats go inside the Protecta EVO Express Bait Station and eat the bait then go elsewhere and die? Or does it trap them inside and they have to be removed?

You would add bait to the Protecta EVO Express Bait Station, the rodents enter and consume the bait, but they are not trapped. They typically go back to their nest or another area before succumbing to the bait.

Can you use soft bait in the Protecta EVO bait stations?

Yes, soft bait pouches can be used in the Protecta EVO Express Bait Stations by simply piercing, then sliding and stacking the pouches onto the vertical bait rods, in the same way that you would place the bait blocks.

Are rodents trapped inside the Protecta EVO Express Bait Stations or do they use the station to feed on the bait and then leave?

The Protecta EVO Express Bait Station works primarily as a bait station to secure the rodent bait allowing rodents to enter the station, feed on the bait and then leave the station. Tamper resistant bait stations protect the rodent bait from outdoor weather elements and also keeps non target animals and kids from accessing the bait. This bait station does allow the use of two Trapper T-Rex Rat Traps or two Mini T-Rex Mouse Traps to be used inside and up to 8 bait blox.

Why am I not attracting rats to my Protecta EVO Express Bait Station?

We ordered 4 stations and I placed them about 5 days ago. I checked them yesterday and there has hardly been any bait eaten. I have seen the rats, so I know they are still around. Why aren't they eating the bait?

A

It is possible that the rats are not attracted to the bait you are using because there is another food source available to them. We would recommend removing any type of food items (pet food possibly) and/or moving trash to another area.  If there are other food sources around, they will continue to go to those sources and avoid the rodenticide. Be sure you’re not handling the blocks or the Protecta EVO Express Bait Station with your bare hands, leaving behind your scent on these items will deter rodents from entering the stations and feeding on the bait. Ensure you have fresh bait readily available for the rodents. If baits become stale, moldy, wet, etc, it will no longer be attractive to the rodents. Lastly, rodents, rats especially, are very hesitant to check out new objects in their areas. You should bait the stations and leave them alone for a couple of weeks to allow the rodents to become used to it being there, and eventually they will become curious enough to begin to check it out.

Will the Protecta EVO Express Bait Station kill more than 1 rat?

The Protecta EVO Express Bait Station secures the rodent bait as rodents come and go to feed on the bait. Rodents do not die just by entering the station unless you are placing snap traps inside the station.

This bait station will hold 2 x Trapper T-Rex Rat Traps; 2 x Mini T-Rex Mouse Traps and up to 8 bait blox.

Are there different sizes of bait stations? Will this bait station work for pack rats?

Yes, we offer Rat Bait Stations and Mouse Bait Stations and they are different sizes. The Protecta EVO Express Bait Station are great for Rats and Mice. Will the the 2 ounce Just One Bite baits fit in the Protecta EVO Express Bait Station?

We would recommend using the Farnam Just One Bite II Bars in a rat-sized station such as this Protect EVO Express or our Protecta Rat Bait Stations. This will work for the size of the bait as well as offering a trap large enough to fit rats and mice.
