    Q
Will Quinclorac kill foxtail and not harm my switchgrass?
I planted cave in the rock switchgrass and buckwheat, getting lots of foxtail, thistle, bracken fern and mullein that i'd like to get rid of
    A

Quinclorac 75 DF does target foxtail, but does not include switchgrass on the label as  tolerant.  We advise spot testing, and using extreme caution before applying this product to switchgrass, as it could cause damage to desirable vegetation.

    Q
Is Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide effective on Brassicas
I'm looking to kill weeds in Switchgrass and Brassicas fields without harming them, will this be effective?
    A

Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide would not be safe to use in brassica fields, both because it would harm the plants as well as not being labeled for use in areas with edible vegetation. Grass Out Max and a Non Ionic Surfactant can be used over the top of brassicas and many other edibles to control grassy weeds growing within them, but we cannot say what the safety to Switchgrass would be. Its not labeled to target it, but it's also not labeled as safe or tolerant to the product, so you would need to test a small area for tolerance before making broader applications. We do not carry any herbicides for broadleaf weeds in those settings, you may need to reach out to your states Department of Agriculture for farming recommendations.

    Q
Will Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide injure or kill centipede turfgrass? Will turfgrass recover after an application?
I sprayed my centipede lawn with Quinclorac. It has turned yellow. Will it recover?
    A

Quinclorac 75 DF lists on the product label that centipede grass is susceptible to damage/injury therefore discoloration, yellowing or possible completely killing the centipede is possible.

Injured or disocoloration of desired turfgrass should recover with time and after a few mowings.

    Q
Is Quinclorac 75 DF effective killing & preventing grass burrs?
    A

No, Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide is not labeled for grassburs, lawn burweed or sandbur.

There are many pre-emergents for this weed but unfortunately not many post-emergents. Image Kills Nutsedge or Celsius WG are post emergents labeled for sandbur in warm season turfgrass. This is not labeled for cool season turfgrass.

We recommend using a pre-emergent for field sandbur, such as Pendulum 2G or Dimension 2EW in early spring and late fall.

    Q
Is mowing turf grass crucial prior to Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide? The growth has slowed and the grass is quite dry in areas so afraid of stressing my lawn out more than it already is.
    A

It is recommended refrain from mowing 2 days before or 2 days after an application of Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide.and grass clippings should be left on the treated area.

Per the product label under Restrictions and Limitations, this product should not be applied to turfgrass under stress from drought. Best results are obtained if weeds are not under stess from lack of water, excessive water, low fertility, mowing shock, excessive hot or cold temps or injury from other herbicide applicaitons.

    Q
Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide use with EndRun
    A

You could technically mix Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide with another herbicide such as EndRun. However, keep in mind that Quinclorac works best with a methylated seed oil (MSO) surfactant, such as Prime Source Duo Stick. If you are adding this kind of surfactant with a broadleaf herbicide such as the EndRun, then you may see increased sensitivity on your desirable turfgrass and it does not require one. So we would recommend a small jar test first for compatability as well as to check the turf for tolerance before spraying the entire lawn with this mixture.  Or apply in separate applications to avoid possible injury.

    Q
Mix this with other broadleaf herbicide and can we store in sprayer for later use?
Can we mix this other broadleaf herbicide like Q4 plus? For convenience can have this mix saved in a spray tank for later use?
    A

The manufacturer of Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide suggests not storing diluted solution for more than 24 hours to avoid losing efficacy.   It would not be tank mixed with Q4 as it contains quinclorac as well and does not need a surfactant.

Per the product label: You should be able to safely mix the Quinclorac 75 DF with 2,4-D, triclopry, MCPA, MCPP, Three way products or other broadleaf herbicides. to get a wider range of weed and weedy grass control with no issues. As with any chemical mixture, be sure to do a tank-mix test first to make sure no clumping or mixing issues occur and spot test a small area to be sure no undesirable effects occur from the mixture and use. Always follow the most restrictive label of the two for use and refer to each product label for complete instructions regarding tank mixing.
