Typically we suggest giving 1 week after an application before putting down seed since the moss/algae needs to have time to die back and expose the soil below it. Grass seed needs to make direct contact with soil to take best so you should be safe after that time frame. We live by a creek and are visited daily by wild ducks walking on the lawn and in the creek. Will the product harm the ducks, squirrels and birds.AScotts Moss Control Granules For Lawns should not harm wildlife when applied as directed. We would recommend applying when they are not in the area and when there is a few hours for it to dry before they return.
