SFM Extra Herbicide is applied as a pre-emergent or post-emergent treatment to actively growing weeds or prior to weed emergence in labeled use sites. Applications may be made using ground equipment or aerial equipment, including helicopter application where permitted. The product may also be impregnated onto dry bulk fertilizer and applied for uniform distribution in certain forestry and non-crop uses.
Application rates range from 0.5 to 8 ounces per acre depending on target weed species, growth stage, soil texture, and site conditions. Lower rates are used for light infestations and coarse-textured soils, while higher rates are used for dense infestations and fine-textured soils. Moisture is required to activate pre-emergent control. For post-emergent applications, apply to young, actively growing weeds. Always follow the product label for complete directions, restrictions, and use precautions.
