Per the product label, Do not use Snake A Way at sites where snakes are believed to be already present as the deterrent effects of the product might tend to confine snakes to the treated areas. For example, you would only treat 3 sides of the lawn or garden area to allow a wide enough space for the snake to leave.
Per the product label, Snake A Way will repel rattlesnakes (Genus Crotalus) and checkered garter (Thamnophis Marcianus). While the product might deter other types of snakes as well, it is not expected to consistently repel snakes of the following types: corn snakes and other rat snakes (Genus Elaphe); and “moccasin” snakes such as cottonmouths and copperheads (Genus Agkistrodon).
Neither Snake Away nor any other snake repellent should be used inside your car for any reason. If you suspect a snake is in your car you will need to use glue boards in your car along floor boards and under seats so that as it crawls around it gets stuck on the glueboard. Once stuck, you can either use olive oil or vegetable oil to rub on the snakes body to release it, or dispose of it any other way you deem necessary.
