Southern Ag Atrazine Weed Killer for St Augustine Grass is already a pre-emergent for crabgrass so you generally do not need to mix it with something like Dimension but the label for Dimension states the following regarding tank mixing: Dimension 2EW may be applied in tank mix combination with labeled rates of liquid fertilizers or other herbicides, such as but not limited to Gallery, Defendor and Accord XRT II, provided (1) the tank mix product is labeled for the timing and method of application for the use site to be treated; and (2) tank mixing is not prohibited by the label of the tank mix product.
Read carefully and follow all applicable use directions, precautions, and limitations on the respective product labels. When tank mixing, use the most restrictive label limitations for each of the products being used in the tank mix. When tank mixing Dimension 2EW with other materials, a compatibility test (jar test) using relative proportions of the tank mix ingredients should be conducted prior to mixing ingredients in the spray tank. See the Physical Compatibility Test Mixing Instructions section of this label.
According to the Southern Ag Atrazine Weed Killer for St Augustine Grass product label this product should not be applied over the rooting area of trees, ornamentals, vegetables or other desirable plants other than the indicated turfgrasses. A product like Opti Amine 2,4-D Amine Herbicide may be applied over top of corn to control broadleaf weeds.
Southern Ag Atrazine Weed Killer for St Augustine Grass is not labeled to control torpedograss.
Since torpedograss and St. Augustine are so closely related there are no products that will selectively eliminate torpedograss without also injurying the St. Augustine. We recommend using a non selective glyphosate herbicide such as Roundup QuickPRO to spot treat torpedograss directly and then resod/reseed any bare spots after 2 weeks.Southern Ag Atrazine Weed Killer for St Augustine Grass can be applied as a broadcast or as a spot treatment.
