Suspend Polyzone is the newer, better version of Suspend SC. Suspend Polyzone has a polymer added to its formulation that enable it to last 90 days outdoors and work better on porous surfaces. Suspend SC will only last about 30 days outdoors.
While Suspend SC is labeled for bedbugs and some still use it for that pest, there are some known resisitance issues with it, so it is not commonly recommended. You may want to look over our Bed Bug Guide for more information on treating and preventing this pest.
If you were to mop along the edges of the wall where Suspend SC was applied, it would take it up.
You will mix 1.5 fl oz of Suspend SC per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft of crack and crevice areas. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Bedbugs and our Control Kits for a successful program.
No, you’ve been treating too often and with too much product. The main thing to know when dealing with fleas is that there is no overnight fix for them, it can take multiple applications to completely eliminate them sometimes 2-3 treatments or more. You also want to make sure that you are following the instructions on the product labels that you are using. Suspend SC is not labeled to be used anymore often than once every 21 days. Per the product label for indoor applications, you should also only apply as a coarse, low pressure crack and crevice spot treatment to problem areas and infested habitats. Do not treat entire floor, carpet or floor coverings. Do not apply as a space spray. Application to furniture should be restricted to areas where prolonged contact by humans will not occur. Care should be taken to limit spot treatment to pet beds and infested floor coverings. Suspend SC would not be a good choice for indoor flea control because it can only be used over cracks and crevices. For indoors, we would highly recommend our Indoor Flea Kit. It is our most popular product for indoor flea control and is usually the final treatment that people end up using that works when they have tried everything else. Please read over our Flea Treatment Guide, refer to section 2.2.
Suspend SC can kill beneficial insects like bees and butterflies if they contact a treated surface long enough to receive a lethal dose and is labeled for asian lady beetles aka lady bugs. It is not really selective in the insects it kills.
Suspend SC used to be the go to product for bed bug control. However, there have been signs that some strains of bed bugs have become resistant to it since it has been used so much. Still, bed bug control has much better success if you use a variety of products. Our bed bug kits have many products that are considered the top bed bug control products. Our kits also come with full instructions. They have a very high success rate with our customers and your best chance of eliminating a bed bug infestation. We would suggest adding an IGR (insect growth regulator) called Gentrol to halt the reproductive cycle of the bedbugs and roaches. Also, apply a roach bait in areas where you have not sprayed.
