This bait station may be used in and around (within 50 feet of) buildings accessible to children and pets, consistent with all use restrictions and other requirements indicated on this label. For control only of rats and house mice. T1 Rat bait station must be used in and around buildings. Do not place this bait station in any area where there is a possibility of contaminating food or surfaces that come into direct contact with food.
SELECTION OF TREATMENT AREAS:
Determine areas where rats and/or house mice will most likely find and consume the bait. Generally, these areas are beside burrows, along walls, by gnawed openings, in corners and concealed places.
APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:
Place the T1 Rat bait station at highest point of activity beside burrows, along a wall or in corners where rats and/or mice or their signs have been seen. If additional units are
purchased, place bait stations at 15 to 30 foot intervals. Maintain a constant supply of fresh bait for 10 days or until signs of rat or mouse activity cease in infested areas. Replace bait stations if contents are consumed or contaminated.
Follow-up: While wearing gloves, collect and dispose of emptied bait stations and all dead animals. To discourage reinfestation, eliminate food, water and harborage as much
as possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment.
Worked Fast
By Jay on 03/16/2012
Never have I seen a product work so fast. The rats quickly went after the bait and after 5 days the minimal infestation I had in my courtyard has gone. However, be aware that these are lightweight bait stations and the rats will move them around after they enter and exit. Good idea to put a very heavy rock or bricks on top so the stations remain in place or they will wind up several feet away. All in all a great product I would highly recommend.

disposable rat bait station
By Marcia on 02/14/2016
While I haven't seen evidence that rats have been at the two bait stations I placed in my yard here in north dallas, tx, I am confident that this is a good product. We had a neighbor in the pest business and he placed a similar, but bigger bait station in our yard while he lived next door. I like the idea of not having to handle the actual bait, and there is nothing to do but place it in the appropriate area. It is easy to see if anything has been eaten, and you'll know when you replace the station. I also followed the advice I read on line about putting a rock/brick on top to keep it from moving or blowing away. The person who answered my email questions from this company was very helpful in guiding me to this specific product. Received quickly too.

Great Idea, But Didn't Work For Me...
By Tammie on 01/08/2019
This is a Great Idea! ...but, it did not work for "me"... After "about" a week I finally saw a few nibbles, but a no go. The rat or rats are wayyy to smart for this!...More baby rats showed up! The glue pads are what work the best if you ask me...Im pulling my hair out & not sleeping over this rat situation! Just when I "think" they are gone...BAM~ one more baby rat I find on a stick pad in my garage. And, I have saw with my own eyes a baby rat run into my home (from my garage kitchen door that goes into my home) when we open it to enter the house, that's how fast these little things are!!

Great Product
By Dianne on 11/23/2018
3 rats started coming to our yard from the woods in back of our house, they were eating my tomatoes and fallen bird seed. I did some searching online and found this product. Amazing bait station, we stopped feeding the birds for a few days and placed the stations along our fence line. Found the first dead rat just 2 days later, then a mouse. One of the 3 stations was completely empty by weeks end, other 2 have been nibbled on. Have not seen anymore rats in the yard. Just ordered 3 more for the winter. Great product, I like the fact that it's pre-baited, no fuss. Highly recommended

See through rat bait stations - control rats population
By Mpstat on 07/23/2017
We stated having tree rat problem in our yard up after some of the animals got displaced by a city tree cutting service that trimmed large tree branches along the major roads. I understand that they need to go somewhere, but had a problem sharing my yard with the rats. After looking for rat bait stations I decided on T1 rat disposable stations. I wanted to be able to monitor bait progress by simply looking at the container without opening it. Once the bait was gone I just replace a rat bait station with a new one. Following some of the users recommendations I place heavy bricks on top of the bait stations leaving see through bait area open for easy monitoring. With the bricks on top rats could not move light weight stations. I have game through a few stations, and noticed that rats presence increased significantly. I do not see them anymore. Happy with my purchase.

If after the rat is dying or dies and a dog eats/chews up the rat, will it kill/harm the dog?
A rat would only need to consume a tiny amount of poison from the bait in the T1 Rat Disposable Rat Bait Station in order to be killed. If a dog were to chew on or eat a dead or dying rat, it is not likely that the dog would be able to get enough poison from that rat to be harmed.

I don't want the rat to go back inside the wall and die there.
It is possible the rat could go back inside as it would not be trapped in the station. There is not a specific place it will go after consuming and exiting the T1 Rat Pre-Baited Disposable Bait Station. We would suggest various rat traps instead. Please take a look at our guide on How to Get Rid of Rats for more information.

A rat has gotten into the house and chewed thru the carpet down to the hard wood floor to get under my sons bedroom door. I'm in the process of preparing his room to be treated for bed bugs. This rat has been all over his room pooping on everything, all over bedding, and then it runs back out of his room and into his grandmothers closet. Can this rat be spreading bed bugs to my entire house? This rat is smart and have tried everything to catch it. I even have a T-Rex trap.
It is not impossible for rats to spread disease and pests throughout the home. For the rat, we would recommend using the T1 Rat Disposable Rat Bait Station. It can be used indoors and outdoors in the areas where the rat normally resides.

Keep in mind that a bait stations is just designed to protect and monitor a rodenticide; it is not going to be a trap since you don’t need to use poison in a trap. We do have multi-catch mouse traps available if you are wanting to trap multiple mice at one time.

There was also a larger chunk under the box. A litter larger than a quarter. Can this hurt the dog? He is small.
We would recommend contacting your veterinarian as soon as possible. As stated on the product label of the T1 Rat Disposable Rat Bait Station:
"TREATMENT FOR PET POISONING:
If an animal eats this bait, call a veterinarian at once.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN OR VETERINARIAN:
Contains the nerve poison bromethalin. This product is not an anticoagulant type rodenticide. For humans or animals ingesting bait and/or showing poisoning signs (such as muscle tremors, loss of hind limb use, or seizures for animals), limit absorption by either emesis or gastric lavage. Sublethal symptoms, if present, would be the result of cerebral edema and should be treated accordingly through administration of an osmotic diuretic and corticosteroid."
