Before purchasing the Talpirid mole trap I watched the video that demonstrated how to set the trap. While the video is accurate, it takes a bit of "trial and error" until one is able to properly set the trap. Proper positioning is not as simple as the video would have you believe, but once that is mastered the darn thing works....and works well. I got no mole the first night due to improper psoitioning. However, the second night was a charm because I reset the trap properly.

I bought this trap and was skeptical, but it actually works. I have no experience setting any kind of traps, but this is pretty easy to work with. pretty cool trap, You don't have to set any bait and it is reusable. I Just set this thing on top of one of the holes in my yard and the next day it was set off and I got a dead mole.

Ordered Thurs, received Sat, set trap Sat night, Sun morning trap was sprung with a dead mole. Have tried many things, scented worms and chemicals to kill food supply to name a few, nothing worked. Was skeptical, now a believer. Easy to use (in sandy soil here in Fl). Stepping down the foot pedal requires a lot of weight as I am 250 lbs and basically stood on it to set it. Releasing the mole was easy per instructions. Great product!

First traps that has ever caught the little destructive critters. Was recommended by a friend. Thought he was over rating the traps, but I had to try something. Trapped 3 within first two days and have added 4 more since. Never have I caught a single one before. They are great. Waiting to see what the spring catch will be.

Wish I would have bought the trap before those worthless worms. The trap works. I have killed 3 moles in the first week. Still have some mole activity but I feel confident that we will get the last of the moles soon. Wish I had 2 traps!

The video makes it look easy to set. I had to move my spade back and forth some to have room for the bottom of the trap to move freely. The ground was hard since we are in a drought in Ohio. I had to set the trap by squeezing it together and then lay it in the ground. I made sure the mechanism could move freely underground. I set it in the morning and had a mole in it that evening.I was actully kind of amazed that is worked that good!!

6-29-11 I bought this device and was very skeptical about it's ability to do as it advertises. I set the trap that evening. By evening of the following day, the trap was sprung and I had my first mole. Now I am a believer.

Hard to understand at first but once I got the hang of it the trap did the job the second try. I do not think I had it set right the first time. Better than the bombs and castor oil spread. This really works!!!

The trap is a quality product and has easy set up. The only issue I have so far is the mole has been smarter than me and the trap. I have no doubt he will soon make a mistake and success will be the outcome. Persistence is the key.

After months of having this brazen little f%&@#er terrorize our lawn... we finally got him with this trap!!! Doing the happy dance today. :) We tried several other methods but nothing worked. Bought this one week ago, set it and waited. Had a pleasant surprise this morning. Great product!

This product is one of our best purchases. We have spent hundreds of dollars over the last few years dealing with moles on our property. We even had professional pest control companies use bait and traps to no avail. Within 6 hours we caught our first mole and 12 hours later his friend! They are uncomplicated and easy to set.

I used this trap according to written instructions and have trapped many-many of these lawn destroying critters. This trap is the best on the market.

I have spent many hundreds of dollars trying to trap or poison moles and have never caught or killed a mole. (I have used numerous styles of traps, bates, poisons, castor oil pellets, insecticides, smoke bombs, etc.) This is the only trap that I've successfully caught moles with, ever!! This one is the best, because it really works. There is no better feeling than seeing that the trap is sprung, and finally pulling up a dead mole.

these traps are fantastic, I missed 1 mole out of 13. My friend spends well over $50 a year on chemicals, and he sees no difference in the amount of moles mounds.

After doing a lot of researching on mole traps I decided to go with this one. I have already caught several.moles. This trap is very well made and easy to operate. Would highly recommend this one if your looking at purchasing a quality trap.
