Do not use as a space spray. Pay particular attention to cracks and crevices. We recommend treating the outside perimeter to help stop insect pests from coming indoors to start with. Apply Talstar P to a band of soil and vegetation 6 to 10 feet wide around and adjacent to the structure. Also, treat the foundation of the structure to a height of 2 to 3 feet.

You can use Talstar P in your attic in all of the cracks and crevices for insect control. If you have a lot of exposed electrical elements though you would want to just use the Delta Dust in these areas as it will last a lot longer than liquid insecticides and they can be used around the electrical elements without worry of shock or shorting out the device.

Yes, rotating insecticides is a good idea to prevent resistance however this normally takes years to happen. Some customer rotate every year or when they start to notice the product may not be working as well as it did in the beginning. It would not hurt to use another active ingredient for your next treatment, a great alternative to Talstar is Suspend SC. Mix 1.5oz Suspend SC with 1 gallon of water along with the Archer IGR for Mosquito control
Talstar P is a great choice for general pest control. Keep in mind that earthworms are beneficial and will not be listed on any insecticide labels. Another excellent option for a climate with very hot summers would be Suspend Polyzone, which is encapsulated in a polymer layer for better longevity in heat and sunlight. Fungus gnats are usually found breeding in landscaped areas/lawns that are over-watered. You should be careful to let area dry out completely, which will kill any larvae in the soil. You could also treat the area with something like Talstar P, which has great residual protection and also can be used for a wide variety of crawling pests and lawn and ornamental pests outside. Gnats that land on the treated areas will be eliminated. Talstar P will not repel the gnats from the area nor will it kill the gnats that do not land on the treated areas. It is best to resolve the issues that are causing water to build in areas and provide a breeding site for them.
