Works better than described. I sprayed my entire yard both from and back, to include fire ant hills, the afternoon after I received it in the mail. By that night, there were 0 flies to be found anywhere and the next day the ant hills were dead and there have been no new ant hills found. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product.

I must first say that the DoMyOwn website provided excellent product details, including all the PDF attachments, which helped me make an informed choice. The product was shipped quickly and arrived in 3 days (surprising), in a cardboard box, with plastic air pillows filling the void. There were 2 large neon orange labels on the outside of the box stating "Fragile" and "This end up", which Fedex ignored, since it was lying on it's side when delivered. However, everything was intact inside, no leakage at all. The product description on DoMyOwn website says "NOTE: Due to the size of this bottle, the product is not filled to the top and will appear at the halfway mark." That is true, if you include the entire height of the container up to the caps. I have never seen a bottle with a built-in "measuring chamber", and it didn't work well for me. It probably works better if you are a professional and filling a bigger sprayer, but for just 1-oz, I found that some of the fluid from the bottle ran into the measuring chamber before all of the 1-oz portion dripped out during pouring into a sprayer. With more use, as the volume in the bottle decreases, that shouldn't be an issue. However, if you only want to use 1/2 oz, there is no indicator mark on the measuring chamber for that small of an amount. The liquid is white, with a milky consistency, and I was pleased to see that it does not foam up when water is added. Instructions say "Talstar P does not provide an instant knockdown of pests, rather, pests pick up the residual active ingredient by contact." That was certainly true when spraying ants, they kept walking over the wet cement, but I trust that it will work as stated. I had been spraying Home Defense insecticide, and my experience is that it's great for killing insects when spraying directly on them, but has little or no residual effect after it dries, because I have seen insects walk across the surfaces I recently sprayed with no effect. I only used Talstar outside, and I didn't notice any product odor, and it didn't affect my breathing. There is one statement in the instructions that was of particular concern to me, "This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming crops or weeds. Do not apply this product or allow to drift to blooming crops if bees are foraging the treatment area". I have several flowering plants which the bees love, so I was careful not to go near them.

After using flea fogs from time to time for years I decided to some research on commercial strength insecticide and was surprised to find out that you don't need to be a business owner to purchase it.One day I researched “commercial strength insecticide “ online several things came up including the company Do My Own after going to the company's website and reading some of the reviews I decided to purchase Talstar P it seems to be what most pest control companies use.Anyway I ordered it and used it as directed I couldn't be happier with the product I'll apply it again in 12/22.I don't know how long this has been available to the general public but I wish I knew then.Buy you won't be disappointed !

Very effective and Highly recommended. I used the product in my lawn for chinch bugs, Results were immediately visible next day. I also treated around home for spiders and flies. All of these pests and many unknown ones are gone with one application. Mixed 1oz per gallon in sprayer. This was what I was looking for after having bought ineffective products from home improvement stores.

I've been using using Talstar for 5 years, The product is excellent and works on a wide variety of insects. When it came time to reorder, I discovered that access was restricted over safety concerns in my state. I'm always extremely careful, wearing goggles, hat, and long-sleeved shirts to prevent unwanted exposure. I love this product, and ordered 3 gallons (delivered to a neighboring state) to make sure I'll have an ample supply for years into the future.

This is my third order of this product and each order has shipped expeditiously and exceeded my expectations. Contents have been well packaged. The product has done well in reducing my problem with "spittle bugs". Though it has not completely eradicated them, I think that's because I haven't fully applied the product per the recommended amount. I've used both the hose end sprayer and a 2 gallon hand sprayer and I've found the hand spraying has worked better. Although the Talstar P has been the only product I have purchased from DoMyOwn, I will be looking at their product line whenever I'm in the market for lawn and garden products.

Pro: I initially purchased this per the recommendation from Clark Howard (www.ClarkHoward.com). Clark has never let me down! This product is really good and lives up to everything Clark said. Con: My only suggestion is for better easy-to-follow measuring directions. Consumers don't need all the technical jargon…. Just simple tell me if I need to mix 1 cup of this product with X cups of water. Simple language. Keep the technical scientific language in-house.
Talstar for insects

I spray my yard everytime it rains with this and it keeps mosquitos, ants, and spiders down. We had hired an insect person to spray and on the bill I noticed Talstar. My brother in Waco has used it for several years and has nothing bad to say about it. It works for me..

This product is incredible at killing spiders. Had webs all over my house. I mixed 30ml per 1 gallon (1floz). Applied with a weed sprayer application. Waited 2 days and pressure washed my house. The product killed every spider in ever web. Was incredible to see. Re applied after house was dry and have not had a spider return. House is free of webs and insects.

I've used this product for years and it never disappoints. My wife & I moved to a house with a earwig infestation, and we tried every insecticide with no relief. Then we started using Talstar and guess what--NO MORE EARWIGS. I can't say enough good things about this product--it kills insects, and is safe for animals. Need I say more! Been using this product since it was recommended by a pest control guy back in 2005, spray lawns with it twice a year - controls all insect populations, also spray inside, baseboards, interior cabinets (aside from those that hold dishes), but we have no pets. The only product we use that has seen a price decrease over the years we have used it. Each gallon bottle lasts us several years - best deal on the market - and DoMyOwn has always been an easy online buy with fast and efficient shipping.
