Taurus SC Termiticide does not have labeling for use on gravel driveways, sidewalks or around trees. It is only to be used around the foundation of a structure. As an alternative you could use Dominion 2L around your trees.
Taurus SC Termiticide cannot be used indoors at all. It is an exterior use product up against the exterior foundation for termites (in the soil) and topically for ants etc. We recommend PT Alpine Flea and Bedbug Aerosol for inside for flea eradications along with vacuuming daily (discarding bag/empty canister outside away from home). You want two applications two weeks apart minimum for flea treatments. You will spray once every two weeks after until the fleas are fully eradicated. No, Taurus SC will not be a substitute for monthly treatments. When you trench around the perimeter of your home for a termite treatment, that treatment will last up to 10 years and will work with termites because they don't travel above the soil. You may do quarterly treatments with Taurus SC at a rate of 0.4 oz per gallon of water, 1-2 feet up on the foundation and 1-2 feet out on the ground. Otherwise, you can continue to treat with Demand CS. If you've continually used Demand CS, once you've run out, you can rotate to something like Onslaught FastCap.
Taurus SC Termiticide is not labeled for scale or to be used on plants. Safari 20SG is a great choice for treating cycad scale on a sago palm.
If you are needing to treat preventatively for termites, you need to treat around the perimeter of the structure creating a continuous barrier, as you're planning to using Taurus SC. Treating the shared wall could only be done by drilling through the bottom concrete floor to treat the soil underneath, or perhaps treating the wood in the wall void between the parts of the structure by foaming Timbor or Boracare. This is a pretty invasive treatment, but it could be done if absolutely necessary.
Yes, it is very important to treat the soil that meets the foundation and drill holes in the concrete to get the Taurus SC Termiticide to the soil of all possible entry ways around the structure. It does bind to the soil if treated properly and lasts many years as a barrier around your home. Termites have many colonies under the soil. For termite prevention Taurus SC Termiticide is best applied around the outside perimeter of the home and around pillars in the crawl space. If you have an active infestation in the home anywhere if would also be recommended to trench along the inside wall of the inside wall of the crawl space as well. Per EPA Regulations, Taurus SC cannot be applied more than 2 times a year at a rate of 0.8 oz per gallon of water or 4 times a year at a rate of 0.4 oz per gallon of water. Per the supplemental label, in California only the rate of 4 times/calendar year is approved and spraying only 6 inches up on the foundation and 6 inches out from the foundation.
