Tomahawk Model E40D is an excluder with a one way door and an easy release back door designed for squirrels, rats and similar sized animals. Excluders are designed to let animals remove themselves from unwanted areas. Excluders have mounting wings which allow them to be attached directly over the animals' entry/exit hole. The one way door lets animals exit but prevents them from returning. The rear door turns the excluder into a repeating trap; simply remove the rear door to use as a true excluder, or put the door in place to trap excluded animals. Model E40D is constructed from 1/2" x 1" - 16 gauge galvanized wire mesh, measures 20L x 4W x 4H and weighs 2 lbs.

Somthing in the attic!

I just bought this home and a month later we started hearing noises in the wall both upstairs and downstairs and we noticed them more at first thing in the morning and in the late evening. I found a hole and thought it was your run of the mill squarl then my wife said she saw a mouse. This trap worked great to cover the hole. I put it up in the afternoon and that night I fought a flying squirrel! So I got it into a secondary cage and by the morning I had 3 more in this cage! All said and done I cought 9!!!!!!!!!! Of them YES 9! After getting g the first one we looked them up and found out that they will group up in the winter in groups as big as 8 adults plus juveniles. Would buy this and the extender if I had to do it again.

Excluder for squirrels

What is the best method for mounting to eaves or soffit, so that it can be easily removed and prevent damage to the cage as well as being able to relocate the animal with as little trauma as possible.
No, this Tomahawk Excluder One Way Door is not labeled for flying squirrels. Flying squirrels are a lot smaller than grey squirrels and for this reason the the trap must be labeled to trap them.
