Product Overview

Tomahawk Backpack mist blowers and foggers are your best solution for fighting annoying mosquitoes. Great for year-round use, the Tomahawk Power Mist Blower TMD14 with Turbo Boost is perfect for applying pesticides in the spring and summer, and an excellent leaf blowing solution in the autumn and winter. The Tomahawk Power TMD14 Backpack Fogger is perfect for applying pesticides for pest and parasite control around residential and commercial areas. With a droplet size adjustable from 50-100 microns, see better chemical efficiency by creating a mist that coats plants top and bottom, while using only a tenth of the amount of fluid used by other sprayers.

*To avoid damage to the unit while using as a leaf blower, the manufacturer states to add 1 cup of water in the tank and turn the liquid flow valve to the off position to keep the water in the tank.  This will avoid damaging the turbo booster.

DISINFECT AND CLEAN
Perfect for water-based disinfectants and sanitizers, spray around your own home or business to eliminate germs and kill 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, and fungi to help stop the spread of cold & flu viruses!

ZIKA VIRUS
Recently, the possibility that a mosquito bite during pregnancy could be linked to severe birth defects in newborns has alarmed the public and astonished scientists. There is no vaccine or medicine for Zika. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends population-wide measures for mosquito control as the best immediate line of defense.

    Tomahawk fogger

    By Lawn on 09/11/2020

Fogger does good just noticed that several places that have a union on the plastic pieces leak, think that it should be one piece instead of two and wouldn't leak then. Also one of the suction hoses on the tank leaks really bad and drips on you while using.

    Tomahawk Mister

    By Geoffrey on 09/28/2020

Blower/mister appears to work as advertised. Assembly is straightforward. instructions are spare and incomplete. There are no instructions for use as a leaf blower or for use with dry insecticide. The website also does not have that information for this unit. The manufacturer did not respond to my e-mail requesting that information (Three weeks and waiting). Two components for dry insecticide use were not shipped with the unit. I will be requesting replacements.

    Hopyard Sprayer

    By Kevin on 07/29/2020

Just purchased and used once. I'm impressed with the vertical spraying 20' distance. Gased it up, primed the bulb, and it started in 3 pulls. It idled down nicely after using 3 gallons of solution. A bit heavy to lift off the ground when full - almost 65 lbs. I suggest filling it up on a table/stool to get on your back without any help required. This looks to be a well made product. I'm happy with my purchase

Q
Can you use with Talstar in the Tomahawk Power Backpack Fogger/Mist Blower?

This tomahawk is called a power mister but I've seen it called a fogger as well. Can you use talstar or Bifen I/t with this? I've read that talstar and bifen are to be used with misters and not foggers.

A

Yes, you can use Talstar P or Bifen I/T inside the Tomahawk TMD14 Mist Blower and these engine powered type devices would be the appropriate types of equipment to treat the yard with those insecticides. True foggers that are either ULV/Cold foggers, or Thermal/Propaine powered foggers, would not be items those insecticides could be run through. You can see examples of Fogging Equipment here.

Q
Can the Tomahawk Power Backpack Fogger TMD14 with Turbo Boost spray fine granules such as Preen?
A

No, Tomahawk Power Backpack Fogger TMD14 with Turbo Boost is only labeled for liquids and dust.  The Preen granules would be too big to disperse.
