I bought these traps after struggling to keep the standard snap traps from triggering while I was setting them. These are super-easy to set. I put a half of an almond and a smear of peanut butter or rat attractant on the almond, into the bait cup. Where I wasn't catching rats with the older snap traps, I'm catching them now.

Caught 3 Rats in 10 days. Using peanut butter. Only had to replace the bait once but that was my fault because I reset the trap with the dead rats head on top of the trigger plate. This caused the trigger to be non functional so a rat came the following night and had a free meal. No matter, because I killed 2 more after that and I would bet that one of them was the guy who got the free meal. I just bought 6 more after reading that they break after a few kills. Still worth it. For you PETA people this is a clean fast kill. Designed to get them on the neck. So far 3 for 3. Better and safer than poison.

This puppy snaps down like an alien snapping turtle!! Very sensitive trigger but amazingly fast snap, no creature will escape this bad boy!!

The best....absolutely fantastic. Easy to set, easy to load, easy to empty and traps like a charm. Has a little cup in the bottom that you remove and fill with peanut butter, then replace in the trap. Squeeze it like a clothespin to set it. VOILA....that's it. Even has a slot for string to tie the trap in place.

Vastly easier to arm than a Victor or Tom Cat! Got two big rats the first two times I used it.

The trap is effective. It does not have enough force to break the bones of a cat. However a cat will not be able to remove its paw from the trap. Also the trap is usually not immediately fatal to the rodents, this results in the traps being dragged some distance from there initial locations. Recommend tying the trap to something, to prevent them from being lost.

This trap works great. When I first tried the trip the next morning I had my first catch. You can't ask for better results than that.

I had used a trap like this for a few years and it far surpasses other types of rat traps. It is easy and safe to put in bait and to set. No more snapped fingers and hoping the trap won't spring when you let go. I used to be able to find these traps at a local store, but had to order this one online. I think there was free shipping and it came very quickly. I hope it lasts as long as my last one. I still have it and this allows me to place 2 traps at once.

Excellent product. Obviously effective, especially in the ambush box. But it didn't kill the rat right away. Bummer for the rat, wife not that pleased either.

I had big wood rats tripping over my traditional traps without being caught, so I had to try something new. I used peanut butter with milled oats as bait and the first night the T-Rex traps killed two rats that were bigger than the traps themselves. I like the removable bait cup, it helps control the mess of baiting. Also, I like being able to set the traps without being anywhere near the business end of the trap.

We were having a problem with large rats getting into our pantry. We bought 2 of these and set them immediately in the pantry. Within 4 hours The Trapper T-Rex had caught the rat and fixed the rat problem in our pantry! I HIGHLY recommend this product! It's highly effective!

Great trap. Works well for chipmunks which is just another form of a rat. The only disappointment is that the trip paddle doesn't have holes in it. I like to spread some of the bait on the paddle & with out the holes it is hard to get it to stick.

These traps are extremely effective. You have to have the stomach though for the occasional rat that doesn't quite die on immediate impact, but long suffers at the attempt to free himself. I have caught several rats with these traps which is why I ordered a dozen. I hate killing rats, but my garden is for consumption not looks so it's important to have them gone. Super product, would recommend to anyone.

I set it up and placed a small amount of peanut butter in the bait circle well. Do not overload the bait circle. It the bait is too big they can eat some and move on. Make them work at it and the trap is in the right position. I caught a large rat on day three that moved into my laundry room. It easy to reset and not worry about getting fingers in the way.

I ordered this T-Rex and the side kick for my chicken house. 3 days and 3 rats! Chickens can't get into the side kick. But, the rats do - T-Rex kills them. Easy to use, once you master the key to the side kick. Watch the video. Love it

This trap is a BEAST! I put it in the “side kick” box and set it in the chicken house. 5 rats in 5 days! After a week with no rats, I moved the set up to the garden. Something was eating my low hanging eggplants. 2 mice in 2 days - so far. May even get some chipmunks. ???? I like it because my other animals can not get in it, I don't have to bait it, and it kills rodents with a lot of force.

Actually used for a chipmunk problem. Eradicated the problem within 2 weeks. Easy to use. Had absolutely no problems with the traps or their mechanics.
