Scotts Halts Crabgrass and Grassy Weed Preventer is not labeled for Virginia Buttonweed.  We do not know of a pre-emergent that is labeled for buttonweed, as it is a difficult weed to kill.  It usually takes multiple applications of post-emergent herbicides to treat it.  Post-emergent product recommendations will be based on your desired turfgrass.
