No, Sevin Dust 5% should not be mixed with water. The rate of use for squash is .5 lbs per 1000 sq. ft. If you are not comfortable using dust, we would recommend Sevin Concentrate. This can be mixed with water and sprayed directly onto the plants.
You should wait at least 48 hours after applying Sevin Dust before watering plants. And you do not need to water them prior to an application. If it rained/watered beforehand, the area may be moist like if dew was present but not overly waterlogged.Â
