At a minumum, you will mix  0.8 to 2.4 quarts in 25 gallons of water per acre. Determine how much water it takes to cover 1 acre, this could be more than 25 gallons of water and that is fine. If treating less than 1 acre, determine the water volume needed to cover 1000 sq ft and adjust for that square footage. The rate for Adama Direx 4L Herbicide will depend on what weeds you are trying to kill. However, you can mix 0.8 to 4.8 quarts per acre. This is equivalent to 0.256 to 1.536 oz per gallon of water per 1000 sq ft.Â

The Adama Direx 4L Herbicide is selective control of weeds in crops and nonselective weed control on non-cropland sites so it would not be safe for lawn use.

As stated on the product label, "BERMUDAGRASS PASTURES (NEWLY SPRIGGED) Aerial application is prohibited. Apply 0.8 to 2.4 quarts after planting and before emergence of bermudagrass or weeds. Alternatively, for control of emerged annual weeds up to 4 inches in height, apply 0.4 to 0.8 quart per acre; add a surfactant per 25 gallons of spray. If bermudagrass has emerged at time of treatment, temporary burn of exposed plant parts may occur. Plant sprigs (stolons) 2 inches deep in a well-prepared seedbed. Do not treat areas where sprigs are planted less than 2 inches deep, as crop injury may result. Do not graze or feed foliage from treated areas to livestock within 70 days after application."
