Altosid Briquets 30-Day (100 briquets) provides a sustained release mosquito growth regulator that can work for up to 30 days of control in water. It effectively kills mosquito larvae before they developed into harmful adults, spreading a lot of breeding, biting and diseases. Altosid Briquets is great to utilize in sites like water gardens, bird baths, pool covers, rain barrels, industrial or office parks, and other water-holding receptacles. This will not work on adult mosquitoes before treatment. To use, simply administer one briquette in the surface. One briquette will cover 100 square feet area. Product is available in package of 100.

Helpful Q&A'sQCan Altosid briquets be used in an abandoned tank that contains only rain water?I have an abandoned tank that will be demolished at some point in the future, but for now I have to deal with it filling with rain water. This is a concrete tank and I have to keep it full to prevent it from floating out of the ground due to high water table. Since I keep it over half full, with approximately 400,000 gallons of rain water in it, I don't want to start a mosquito farm, so I want to treat with Altosid. How many of the briquets would be needed to treat 400,000 gallons of water that is approximately 6 - 7 feet deep? Would Altosid in another form (granular, liquid) be better than the briquets?AThe Altosid 30-Day Briquets would be appropriate for your needs. The manufacturer recommends that you use 1 briquet for every 75 sq ft every 30 days.Â
