    Has any research been done concerning toxicity to birds such as roadrunners that eat insects killed with Bifen IT?
    A

    The Material Safety Data Sheet for registered pesticides generally includes avian toxicology reporting. The MSDS for Bifen IT contains Effects on Birds information in sections 12 on page 4.

    Is Bifen IT good for destroying chinch bugs?
    A

    Bifen IT will treat Chinch bugs at the sign of damage. Dilute at 1oz per gallon water. Please also review our Chinch Bug control page.

    Can I spray Bifen IT indoors (baseboards, walls, ceiling) and allow to dry before exposing cats?
    A

    Yes, Bifen IT can be applied and dried to areas indoors (that are listed on the product label) prior to the entry of your cats. The surfaces should be dried completely before they return.

    Can Bifen I/T be used on firewood?
    A

    No, Bifen I/T cannot be used on firewood.  It can be used around the area where the firewood is kept, but not on the firewood itself.

    Can I spray Bifen IT inside window frames and floorboards?
    I want to treat around my home for spiders and ticks. Is it safe to spray indoors? Where is the best place to spray? Thank you.

    Bifen IT is designed to be applied in window frames and other cracks, crevices and entry points of the home. Also, around the outside perimeter of your home. For ticks, you may also need to mix in an IGR like Nyguard to break down the reproductive cycle.

    Can I use Bifen IT in my garden?
    What do you suggest for use in a vegetable garden? I am currently growing Kole crops (mustard, turnips collards) and I have aphids. Is there anything that can also be used on tomatoes, squash, okra? I am looking for a all in one spray.

    Bifen IT is not labeled to be used on anything edible so would not be recommended. For vegetable garends we would recommend using the Fertilome Triple Action.     Should I continue with Bifen IT or is it wise to rotate products?
    We are in Jekyll Island GA, primary bugs are mosquitoes and no see ums. We have sprayed twice with Bifen I/T with great control. Should I continue with Bifen IT or is it wise to rotate products?

    Bifen IT would be a great product to continue to use for mosquitoes and noseeums.  The key with application for mosquitoes is to apply to the underside of leaves of tree and bushes. You should apply once a month.

    Apr, May? It has been a dry winter/spring here near Albuquerque. Do I spray earlier because the bugs fly sooner? What is best part of month and/or moisture amounts to spray?

    You should contact your local cooperative extension office to find out the best time to start spraying a product like Bifen IT in your region.  They are more familiar with the timing of insect activity in your area.  We can say that it should be applied monthly through the beetles active months.

    Can Bifen IT be used to control pecan weevil?

    Bifen IT cannot be applied to edible vegetation. We would recommend using a product like Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic Drench.  This product is labeled for boring weevils in Pecan trees.
