    Q
Will Bio Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate kill Asiatic Jasmine Minima that has taken over my yard? How soon after killing the weed can I reseed?
    A

Bio Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate is not specifically labeled to kill asiatic jasmine minima however the active ingredient Triclopyr or Dicamba have been known to injure this groundcover. Asiatic jasmine is a very tolerant species and even a non selective herbicide such as Roundup will only affect young growing Asiatic Jasmine. Repeatedly cutting back as much as the plant as possible will eventually kill it, while pulling up the plant down to the root also will produce results. These methods may need to be repeated every few days to be effective. Use pruning shears or a weed whacker, but not a mower, as this can encourage propagation by spreading chopped plant material. Dig up as many roots as possible, loosening them with a rake or rototiller and then pulling them out of the ground by hand. Seal the roots in plastic bags.

You can also contact your Master Gardener with the Local Cooperative Extension Office for recommendations on treatments shown to be effective in your area.

    Q
Will Bio Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate kill trees if I am targeting poison oak and ivy growing on the trees?
    t
    A

Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate would not kill trees unless you are directly spraying the leaves, stems or roots of the tree.  Care should be taken to limit applications just to the target weeds around the trees.

The label also states: For vines growing on desirable plants, cut the vine and treat as directed for stump removal. This would be the best method if you are concerned about killing the trees.
