Bonide Garden Rich Liquid Iron plus Micronutrients helps improve the color of plants on lawns, ornamentals, and shrubs. It contains a balanced formulation of essential micronutrients like Magnesium, Boron, Copper, Iron, Manganese, and Zinc which effectively corrects as well as prevent yellowing of plants and promote darker green foliage. It also supports healthier growth and development of your plants by providing vital nutrients they need. It can be applied as a foliar spray or soil drench for dual feeding action.

GUARANTEED ANALYSIS:

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Apply only as directed. Make 3 to 5 applications annually.

Note: This product may stain concrete, siding or painted surfaces if not washed off immediately after application.

HERBACEOUS PLANTS:

Hardy Aster, Alyssum, Canna, Carnation, Chrysanthemum, Daylily, Fern, Geranium, Gladiolus, Iris, Larkspur, Marigold, Nasturtium, Petunia, Portulaca, Verbena and similar annuals and perennials.

Foliar Spray: Mix 2/3 ounce per 1 gallon of water and spray to the point of run-off.

Soil Drench: Mix 1/4 ounces per gallon of water. Apply directly underneath plants at a rate of 3 gallons of mixture per 100 square feet. Water in thoroughly after application.

SHRUBS:

Azalea, Camellia, Cherry Laurel, Crepe Myrtle, Euonymus, Forsythia, Gardenia, Honeysuckle, Hydrangea, Ligustrum, Primrose, Pyracantha, Rhododendron, Rose, Spirae and smaller shrubs and vines.

Foliar Spray: Mix 1 1/4 ounces per gallon of water and spray to the point of run-off.

Soil Drench: Mix 1 1/4 ounces per gallon of water. For shrubs 1-3 feet in height, apply 5-6 ounces of mixture. For shrubs 3-6 feet in height, apply 10-12 ounces of mixture. Apply mixture directly underneath the shrub and water in thoroughly after application.

TREES:

Catalpa, Chinese Arborvitae, Cypress, Dogwood, Elm, Gingko, Juniper, Magnolia, Maple, Mimosa, Pin Oak, Pine, Russian Olive, Spruce, Sycamore, Sweet Gum, and other trees and very large woody shrubs.

Foliar Spray: Mix 1 1/4 ounces per gallon of water and spray to the point if run-off.

Soil Drench: Mix 1 1/4 ounces per gallon of water. Apply 1-pint mixture per 1 in. of tree trunk diameter (measured at chest height) on soil. For example, if tree trunk's diameter is 6 in. at chest height, use 6 pints mixture on the soil. Apply mixture around the perimeter of the trunk within the root zone. Water in thoroughly after application.

TURF:

Bahia, Bent, Bermuda, Centipede, Fescue, St. Augustine, Zoysia, Bluegrass, Ryegrass, and other grasses.

Foliar Spray: Mix 6 ounces per gallon of water and apply to the point of runoff. 1 gallon of mixture covers approximately 1,000 square feet. Three or four applications per growing season usually produce the best results.

Foliar fertilization is intended as a supplement to a regular fertilization program and may not, by itself, provide the nutrients normally required by crops or other intended plants.

Can Bonide Garden Rich Liquid Iron plus Micronutrients be used in vegetable gardens?

Bonide Garden Rich is labeled only for use on ornamental plants and turf. Around vegetables, you can use Ironite Lawn and Plant Food Plus 12-10-10 or Espoma Organic Iron-Tone Plant Food.

Bonide Garden Rich Liquid Iron plus Micronutrients is not labeled for use on vegetables or fruit trees.  You may consider using an alternative such as Miracle-Gro Liquid All Purpose Plant Food Concentrate, which contains similar nutrients and minerals, and is labeled for flowers, fruits, vegetables and houseplants.

Per the manufacturer, when applying Bonide Garden Rich Liquid Iron plus Micronutrients to turf, it is not necessary to water in since it is considered a foliar application.

Bonide Garden Rich Liquid Iron plus Micronutrients is most effective when applied to plants which are actively and rapidly growing, and least effective when plants are dormant or suffering from stress.
