    Should I get boracare with boracare mold control?

    Boracare will not cause mold and the Boracare with Mold Care is only needed if you are trying to treat for mold that is currently there or to help prevent it in an area like a crawl space that has a moisture problem.

    Is a foam machine required to apply Boracare, or can it be mixed with water and spray?

    Boracare can be mixed with hot water or used as a foaming agent. The amount of water will depend of the if you are doing a treatment for an active infestation or for preventative.

    What ratio should I use for pretreatment
    Am I really supposed to use a whole gallon of boracare with 1 gallon of water...depending on what I have to do that can get as expensive as a liquid soil treatment...help me out with this one please...thanks

    Powder Post Beetle Active Infestation
    I'm reasonable sure that the infestation is powder post beetles and have sent two beetles to an entomologist for identification. In the mean time, what should I do to control them? I have suspend, bifen and taurus on hand. Could I inject any of these into the holes, let it dry, plug the holes, and then apply a light localized spray? I bought and installed the #2 grade 3/4 unfinished walnut plank (or strip) flooring from a salvage store about three years ago. The flooring was labeled and I was able to identify the NW Pacific manufacturer, which has since gone out of business. My house is on a slab, but has 2x10 floor joists. The subfloor is 3/4 plywood. Roof tar paper was used between the subfloor and the hardwood. The floor was sanded, stained, and top coated with 3 layers. The infestation is limited to lighter colored boards (sapwood?) and maybe a few exit holes in the darker (heartwood?) boards.There is currently fras around exit holes in three boards, and 2 to 3 fras covered holes each day. I might have seen fras the previous spring, but didn't think anything about it because I was installing tile during that time. One board has a few dozen exit holes, while the other boards have only a handful.

    Question about applying BORACARE to furniture, what to do after
    The right section of our game cabinet is infected with drywood termites. We had this removed (its now in the garage) and we are thinking about treating it with Boracare and then re-installing it. Was wondering what the recommendation would be so as to have the cabinet look good after application. For example, if the product leaves a sticky residue, what should be done before re-installing? (sorry if the question is very basic) And curious if the color of the wood can change after application?

    If more than one application Boracare is applied it can leave a crystal white type residue. Please allow 72 hours for it to dry. If you need to you can paint or sand over the furniture after the Boracare has soaked in. It should not leave a sticky residue.

    If I treat new construction with Bora-Care, will I need to re-treat at some point?

    Bora-Care is a wood specific wood treatment product that will last for the life of the wood when applied correctly.  You would not have to reapply the product on any wood that you treated originally.  This is what makes Bora-Care the best selling wood treatment product on the market.

    Typically, one gallon of Bora-Care will treat up to 500 square feet of flooring when mixed 1:1 (1 gallon of Bora-Care mixed with 1 gallon water).

    When do you treat rough cut lumber with boracare? Imediately after logs are sawed, or after the drying stage?
    I am building a barn, and I am having the wood cut from trees off of my property. The wood will be cut in the upcoming weeks, then stacked under the lean-to section of the barn to dry. Do I need to spray boracare on the wood as it is stacked? Wait until it dries out then spray? or wait until I put it on the side of the barn then apply boracare. Any help is greatly appreciated.
