    Q
It has been raining all week. Can I still apply Dimension 2EW Herbicide?
    A

We would not recommend applying herbicides such as Dimension 2EW Herbicide during active precipitation. The manufacturer recommends to water this product in within 24 hours after application, so it would be best if you apply it the day before rain is expected again.

    Q
I have a centipede lawn and I would like to know your best herbicides to use on centipede.
I have some of questions for you. My lawn consists of centipede and I would like to know your best herbicides to eliminate lespedeza as well as other broad leaf weeds. I also need one that will eliminate grassy weeds as well. I would like to get a pre-post emergent too help eliminate the problem with these undesirables. I know this will involve multiple products. One for the broadleaf one for the grassy weeds and a pre-post emergent for each. If there is a pre-post emergent combination in one product that will be ok. I would also like an insecticide to kill ants all of them. I would like a powder and a spray. Thanks for your help.
    A

For pre-emergent of both grassy and broadleaf weeds, Dimension 2EW or Prodiamine 65 WDG are both great options.  For post emergent control that is safe on Centipede grass, Image Herbicide or Blindside Herbicide are both for grassy and broadleaf.

For ants outside in the lawn you can use a bait like the Intice 10 Perimeter Bait or a spray such as Talstar P.

    Q
What should I use as a pre-emergent for crabgrass?
I live in the Louisville, Kentucky area. I have 2 or 3 types of crabgrass. The large clump form, smaller spreading smooth form. There is a big difference in cost comparing Dimension 2EW and Prodiamine 65 WDG. Which do you recommend?
    A

If you’re unsure of which types of crabgrass you have, we would recommend Dimension 2EW as it is labeled for the large, smooth, and southern crabgrass types.  Prodiamine 65 is only labeled for the large and smooth.

  • Asked by Nicholas from Quinton, Va

    Q
Is Dimension 2EW harmful to moss?
I couldn't find a listing on the instructions sheet for Bryophyta, the scientific name, and don't want to kill it off in my yard.
    A

The Dimension 2EW Herbicide product label does not state that it can be used over moss but does not list it on the label as tolerable, so we cannot confirm if it would harm moss.  We would recommend testing a small area to see if any injury occurs.

    Q
How much Dimension per hundred gallons for pre-emergent emergent control?
    A

Herbicides such as Dimension 2EW Herbicide are a lot different than other concentrated products and can be hard to understand at first. The application rate depends on the the type of turf you have and how quickly you apply the product.  You will need to read the product label to determine the correct usage rate for your needs (you did not give us any information about the type of lawn or application area, region or application program you will be using so we cannot give you exact rates).  You will need .75 - 3.0 pints of Dimension 2EW per acre in how much water it takes to cover the acre.

  • Asked by Guy from Lexington

    Q
There are two products sheets for Dimension 2EW Herbicide. Which one do I use?
    A

The Dimension 2EW Herbicide has two labels, the original product label and a Supplemental Product Label. The complete product label discusses applications for turf, lawns, landscape beds, ornamentals, etc. The Supplemental Product Label discusses applications for landscapes, field-grown, and container-grown ornamentals only to make finding these application rates easier. If you are treating your lawn with Dimension 2EW Herbicide, you would review the original product label.

    Q
Will Dimension kill established clover in a food plot when applied in the spring?
    A

Dimension 2EW Herbicide is not labeled for use in food plots.  We do apologize but we are not aware of a pre-emergent product that could be used in a food plot. This is more of an agricultural product. You may be able to check with your local ag department for a recommendation and we can see if we can get it.
