Pharaoh Ants, Carpenter Ants:

Treat doors, around window frames, ant trails and hills, cracks and crevices and other areas of entry. Repeat as necessary.

Take bed apart. Dust into joints and channels. If hollow, such as square or round tubing, see that the interior of the framework is well dusted. Dust mattresses, especially tufts, folds and edges. Dust pictures frame molding and all cracks and crevices in the room. Repeat as necessary.

Remove and destroy or wash pet's old bedding. To reduce infestation, dust animals bedding, sleeping quarters, kennel, around baseboards, window and door frames, wall cracks, floor carpeting and other resting places. Also, dust the entire inside surface of dog houses. Put fresh bedding in pet quarters. Repeat as necessary.

For best results, to protect your pet against and to minimize reintroduction of adult flea from outdoors, use EPA registered flea and tick products in conjunction with this application and prior to re-entry. Repeat as necessary.

Liberally apply dust to the animal, rubbing thoroughly to the skin. Begin with the neck and include the underbody, legs, feet and the base of the tail. Some temporarily dying of the animal's skin may occur. Repeat as necessary. DO NOT TREAT KITTENS OR PUPPIES LESS THAN EIGHT (8) WEEKS OF AGE.

To protect against entrance, using a hand operated rotary duster, distribute Durvet Flea and Tick Powder through an entry, crawl hole into attic and crawl space of building at a rate of 12 ounces per 1000 square feet. Close all vents and blowers located on the windward side. Contact all wood surfaces. In case of localizes infestations, probe to locate galleries and drill holes to inject Durvet Flea and Tick Powder into galleries. If a reasonably heavy infestation is suspected, use a professional treatment. Repeat as necessary.

It is generally advisable to treat nests in the evening when insects are less active and have returned to the nest. Using hand or powder duster or other suitable means, with extension tubes, if necessary, thoroughly dust nest and entrance and surrounding areas where insects alight. Nests in wall voids can be located by listening with your ear against the wall. To treat, drill a hole in the area. For best results, check nests carefully one or two days after treatment to ensure complete kill. Then remove and destroy nest(s) to prevent emergence or newly hatched insects. If removal is not feasible, retreat the nest, if necessary. Do not use this product to treat overhead nests.
