Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate is labeled for silverfish, but only outdoors for a perimeter treatment. If you are looking for a more natural product for indoor use, we would recommend the EcoVia EC, which is labeled for a broadcast surface spray and crack and crevice treatment indoors. Otherwise, we would recommend Bifen IT, which comes as part of our Get Rid of Silverfish Kit as well.
Essentria IC3 would be a great product to apply at 1-2 fl oz per gallon of water. It will not harm aquatic organisms and is safe for pets when dry (they need to be out of the area during the application until surfaces are dry completely) and labeled for applications on non-fruit bearing trees to treat scale insects.
Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate is not labeled to be used on dogs.
Essentria IC3 is labeled for sensitive surfaces such as fabric, wood floors, etc. It is typically applied with a hand pump sprayer. Per the product label, when treating for fleas, "Dilute at the rate of up to 0.5 to 6 fluid ounces of Essentria IC3 per gallon of water (use lower rate for maintenance service and higher rates for active infestations). Thoroughly spray non-visible areas where these insects are usually found with special attention to cracks and crevices, niches, dark corners, drains and other harborage sites." Test a small non-visible area first before spraying and be sure to follow all label instructions. Although Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate is labeled for indoor treatments, it's not labeled to be used on rugs or carpeted areas and it is an oil based product so there is a risk of staining as well. If you're only treating indoors, we would recommend to use something like NyGuard Plus, it is a water based product and can be used to treat pet resting areas, rugs, carpets and can be used on floors, although some floors are more "sensitive" than others we do recommend spot treating a small inconspicuous area first to be sure it's safe on your floor. According to the Essentria IC3 product label: Mix 4 to 10 ounces of Essentria IC3 insecticide with sufficient oil to equal 1 gallon of diluted spray. (It is recommended to use lower rates in most food facility applications). Apply at a rate of 1 to 3 fluid ounces per 1000 cubic feet, filling the room with mist (or fog, if thermal equipment is used). Fogging is limited to the indoor application areas listed on the product label. We would not recommend fogging for waterbugs. We would suggest our kit. Yes, Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate can be used in lawns and around the house for spider control. Keep kids and pets out of the treated area until the product has had time to dry.
Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate should not be applied on a windy day. You should apply on a calm day with no rainfall expected.
Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate should not be applied to froze ground or during rainfall. It can be applied 24 hrs after a rain. Please store container away from extreme cold and extreme heat in a cool, dry place.
